Hello folks, I feel the need to share my experience yesterday . I did great all day at work , oatmeal in the am and a turkey breast sandwich for lunch . no snacks . lesson learned . I got home after work starving and really over ate all the wrong stuff because I did not have enough food through out the day  However , I hope to be back on track today . I am going to the gym after work for another jog 1.50 and I am having my snacks today (yogurt , almonds and string cheese) I will report my weight Monday . Have a great weekend

I have done that too. Get soo hungry and then go overboard. Now ya know! Keep the fuel banked. Kind of like when quitting smoking, keep the nic leveled and you won't have cig cravings. :)
You're doing good! :D

Have a great weekend yourself!

I'm the same way. :)

Me three! Buying the fitbit is a stretch as it's a new item and not too many reviews. But it does have a 45 day $ back guarantee.

GP- I am the same way! If I don't have an afternoon snack before I come home from work I will mow down whatever I can get my hands on when I do arrive.

4 elliptical miles.

I got my fitbit charge HR. Tracking this morning showed attempted delivery so I called the PO. Worker didn't call me back until 4:30 but I was thrilled he did. Drove over (neighboring town, had it shipped to the office:facepalm:) and picked it up. Have it all set up and linked with my fitness pal for calorie intake. :)

One more thing before I go sit down and relax for a little bit. I've been getting the dreaded side stitches. Did some research. My stitches are on my left side. The interweb folks said to breathe out hard, sometimes grunting, when my right foot hit the treadmill (the opposite side of the stitch). It was immediate relief. I was kind of shocked it worked so well.

Why does beer have so many calories? 137/beer. :glare:

Bridget, I ran some tonight at 7 mph. Man that's gettin' it...especially for me being a shorty. I've never fallen off the treadmill, but those speeds scare me a little.

the alcohol is a hi calorie item.... in pure form it burns nicely :)

I haven't heard that but will try it.. I seem to get them if I didn't wait long enough between eating and running--that may be total coincidence tho. Haven't had one in a while.

Goal: 3 miles
Clean house for company this afternoon.
Weight: 134.4 (guess I wasn't quite as good as I thought last night LOL)

4 miles done.
House got vacuumed and dinner was a success. I had healthy choices along with the main course. Salad and fruit as side dishes. Beef and noodles were the main course. Baked a loaf of bread (frozen loaves are very good. Let rise overnight bake in the morning... easy). I will probably pay for that slice of bread.

Oh darn, I need to record that I had an ounce of alcohol. Disaronno..

I'm down .3 this morning.

RJ, pizza is killer for me, as is Mexican food. Just the load of sodium makes me retain water. We don't do pizza very often, but gotta have Mexican once in a while.

You're going to be really sore tomorrow if you're already sore and then run 5 miles today! going with "no pain, no gain" ?:D

189.0 this morning. I thought that 186.5 yesterday sounded a little off...
Mamaw cooked another delicious Sunday morning breakfast, Egg Beaters, Turkey Bacon, Hash Browns and toast. So much for 189.
Shoulders are feeling much better after a couple of days rest, will try to get back to stretching workouts sometime today.

WTG Bridget! My shoulder blades are what is so sore. Legs are good. I'm gaining muscle for sure...getting those runner's legs back. I lost some muscle at the end of my weight loss goal so I'm trying to get it back. This maintaining is hard. It was easier for me to lose it seems than to maintain. I may need to start counting calories...especially eating all this protein.

I know I'm gaining much needed muscle, but weight was up 0.6 lbs. Not unusual for me though to go up and down like that. And I am trying to maintain at this weight so I'm happy. I am going to be cutting out alcohol and pizza though. I am sore today. I need a long run for cardio so I'm gonna shoot for 5 miles today.

Granted, I was a lot younger then, but - I went into Boot Camp 151 lbs. w/34 waist, came out 151 lbs. w/31 waist. And better muscle definition.
Muscle really does weigh more than fat.
