I did terrible yesterday. Only walked around for a while with the kids at the aquarium, and ate terrible for me food at the restaurant. And every bite was so good I can't regret it.

Before we left I had an egg with veggies and a slice of bacon. Then we had tgi fridays, I had half a burger, half my fries, and we split a dessert (it was so worth it)

Then last night finished my burger because I was tired and lazy

Oh well today is a new day again. Don't know about exercise today, will be gone most of the day. But will definitely do better with the food

When we were out shopping Saturday, we stopped at Duffy's or something like that, I had a burger (swiss cheese and mushroom on top). I skipped the fries and had a salad instead with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. Ate the whole burger. For me, fries are deadly (they rank right up there with potato chips ). It is probably better to eat the whole burger and not have fries? AND you can count the lettuce and tomato, on top, as a good food :D

did you eat half of each fry, or half of the portion and left whole fries?
Half the portion, whatever the kids didn't steal lolol. They had fruit for a side and were still hungry.

The burger was loaded with jalapeños (metabolism booster lol) and really don't know if I even ate half the fries. We had a gift card and wanted to use all of it because we don't go there much, so went ahead and planned dessert.

Could've been worse, used to be I'd eat the whole meal and most of one dessert on my own

Good morning nuts! I had a fun weekend over all . I did bad Friday night eating 4 pieces of pizza !:facepalm: So Saturdays gym visit 2.00 miles run/jog then 1 hr of Zumba . Sunday was 1 hr of power lifting whole body workout and a .50 run . Saturday night I really ate a lot , we had a cookout and bond fire , I had a half bottle red wine then a half of a pork tenderloin grilled though with lots of sides , green beans , deviled eggs , pasta salad and a big cup of shaky juice (fresh lemons sugar and vodka) I was back up to 175.2 Sunday morning but really kept my calories low all day yesterday . Started to feel guilty but remembering im still down 2.5 ls helps , not going to beat myself up about it , just going to get right back on track and keep going . I hope everyone has a great week ! :vapor:

I've been eating quite a bit of quinoa for my grains lately. Its pretty great stuff, is gluten free, and loaded with vitamins, protein and fiber. I'm feeling really good after my meals with it, have lots of energy, and my stomach is happy. Anyone else eating this stuff?

Went gluten free for a while to see if it helped the auto immune thing, and it didn't. But never could get to like the texture of quinoa.

I've seen quinoa but never tried it. What's the flavor like?

My back is back to normal today after a good night's rest. DH fell asleep on the couch and stayed there-no snoring- I slept over 7 hours without waking!
Not much flavor. It requires some seasoning. I've been using toasted sesame oil, ginger, vinegar, rosemary, Texas Pete, onion, peppers (many kinds), tumeric, etc. to keep it lively. (Not all at the same time!)

I like the crunchy texture.

Glad you got some rest....it helps!!

I did some interval, whatever that's called, on the elliptical last night. 4 minutes at a normal speed with 1 minute bumping up the resistance and pushed myself to get the speed up. Did that three or four times in the course of 3 miles. After the first interval, when I brought the resistance back down, I didn't take it back all the way. I dropped it to 2 instead of 1.

I think it helped :) I lost .2 lbs.

I think I will make this my off day. Arms are needing a break and so do my legs :)
Calves are shaping up nicely :D It's amazing how much work they get when I start upping the resistance to 9 and 10!

Way to work everyone ! I will be going to the gym this evening for a core class then going to get on the dreadmill . I really liked quinoa , only had it a handful of times but I read its a really good source of protein and fiber so I plan to incorporate it more into my diet . I am still doing the my fitness pal thing and it seems to be working really good , its a good way to keep track of what you are eating .
