Its so good to hear that the limit is one per person at the launch. I don't want to have to pay double to a guy that bought 10 of them. I just hope that everyone that's been following the kick gets to buy one without having to site stalk for months with no luck. I've bought several items that just sell out in 20 and 30 minutes, Sometimes less.

The 3100 has a max discharge rate of 5.8 amps, which is more than double what is needed.
Wow. 5.8 amps. That is pretty good. I guess it would be fine. @ 5.2 amps the 2600 should be fine as well I guess. I guess that their recommendation for IMR's is that they do not know what quality of batt people will use, but even a cheap IMR should be able to run the kick safely.
I'd love to be celebrating my vapiversary with a kicked mod today. I will be integrating the Kick into my Vmod XL w/ 18650. I believe ther will be enough room below the bottle to run leads from the neg and mod a plate disc at the top of the pos end. I want my Vmod XL to give me more/consistent power!!

I'd definitely recommend IMR if using an 18350 though. Smaller batteries have lower C rates typically. The AW IMR 18350 has a discharge rate of 8C, so with 700mAh capacity that's 5.6 amps (plenty). I've seen some of the ultrafire 18350s listed with just 2C, so 1.4 amps would not supply enough and if the protection failed you'd have a rapid discharge and possible melt down.

That will be how it works for me if I get one and she doesn't.
If I am remembering correctly, During the interview on VTTV, the designer (I do not remember his name) said that the positive side was the heat sink. I think the batt helps act as the heat sink so sticking it elsewhere in a box mod with leads, you would still have the heat issue. I could be wrong, but food for thought and/or discussion.

Still stalking this thread....funny thing is I don't even plan on using this in my P+ 18650 as I am REALLY happy with it as is
