Been messing with the kick all day now and still can't get it to work like it shoud. Just 3.5V output no matter what I put on it. Tried everything I possibly could and what I could gather from the various tutorials and vids. No luck at all. I'm so unhappy :(

If it's defective we can test it out and get you a new one, no problem. Shoot me a pm.

Thank you so much for the reply and trying to help me sort this out, truly appreciate it. Yes tried that. I also tried just using a 18650 battery case and connected it directly just to eliminate any problems from my mods but no luck. it does not go above 3.5V. I have tried a 2.2ohm atty and also a 2.8ohm atty. When I dial the meter down to min its about 3.2V -3.4V and at the max setting it is just 3.5V. I have checked the connections and made sure that the grounding spring is making contact with the body. I also used a multimeter to check just incase my voltmeter was faulty but no luck and getting the same results :(.

Do you have a different mod you could try it in, just to be sure?

It may be silly --- but are you setting the watts correctly? Have you tried changing the wattage?

Kick should give consistent performance to the wattage set, not the ohms of the atty/carto---with 1.3-3.0 watts atty/cartos.

I'd also recommend removing any dirt and grime from any threaded part of your mod. I was impressed with the Kick before, but I did notice that there was some gunk built up in every thread in every part of my P+. I just ran a small eyeglass repair kit sized screwdriver along the threads in the caps at both ends of my mod. Even in the parts that looked clean at first still resulted in little snow piles of gross stuff collecting at the tip of my screwdriver. Whatever that sludge was, I'm sure it didn't supply a very good ground. :) Anyway, now my kicked P+ is that much more satisfying. Maybe it could work for you, too?

In other words, I'm apparently a nasty slob. Please ridicule me.

Thank you for the tip mate. Yep tried that cleaned the threads and applied some noalox and still no luck. I have just sent a pm to David and I'm sure he will sort it out for me.
Glad you are happy with your kicked P+ :)
Many thanks
Sam

The P+ has Rhodium coated contacts, it is highly recommended to NOT polish them...

Path was talking about the kick contacts not the P+, sorry, path already pointed this out.

@Path Thanks for the recommendations, I will give it a try and post results.

I think of that song every time I play with the Kick.

Hey David, do you still reckon you'll have more 18350 batteries in stock tomorrow? I've been searching Google for "aw imr 18350" and there's always a result pointing to an ECF forum thread titled "AW IMR 18350 In Stock Now at Super-T!" It's taunting me.

UPDATE: I just refreshed the page, and David now has AW IMR 18350 batteries in stock again. In for 4!

Rojo is spot on, the IMR 18350's are back in stock. And for those who missed it, your purchase of batteries or chargers qualifies you to be entered (see details in the battery thread on how to enter) in a drawing for 3 Kicks!
Which battery thread? What? Where?

I have looked everywhere I can think of right now for this and no luck so far.
