That's great Gina! Good luck. I've found PVs to be the best thing to get me off cigs and keep me off.

BTW.....Jane just emailed me and said the parts are stuck in customs! Oh well, we know how that goes. Might be a week, might be a month. I'm not gonna wait around. Now to decide whether or not to get a kit. I could use the extra batts.

Hello ThaLady. Did you contact SLB and asked if they sold or manufactured the Joye510? This is what I got from Jane at StrictlyEjuice.com.

SLB Manufactures the JOYE 510. Here is a screenshot. Since you started this thread, can you contact SLB and ask them for us. I was forwarded an email from Jane from the Manufacturer Sai Lebao Technology Co. Ltd. - SLB-. She said the contact's name was Allen Wang who said they sell the JOYE510.

The L2 510 from strictlyejuice. I wanted to be sure if it was a Joye product or not so I emailed them the link to this website and they denied they are JOYE products. They have an announcement on their website about the new atomizers...
Electronic Cigarette, E-Cigarette, Elektronische Zigarette, Cartridge, eZigar

This is one of the e-mails I received from Joye:____________________

I wouldn't want to buy one thinking its real, that's all, because some people are. Just wanted to post it.
I'd buy it to compare it to a real 510 though...

I am using the L2 atty right now and it works fine. The performance is not any better or any worse than a 'Joye' atty so far. The performance is right around the same. I've been using one of these atty's for two days. I am also using a regular 510 battery, so I can't say how they would hold up if with higher voltage use.

I am using a 901 flat tip with this atty. I noticed that the 901 tip has a tighter grip fit on a true 'Joye' atty. The 901 tip I have fits slightly looser on this L2 atty, but it fits like it was made for the 510.

The 510 carts that I have fit really loose on the new L2 atty.

I just recieved my L2 510 kit from Strictly e-juice yesterday. I charged the battery overnight for 8 hours, used for 20 minutes and recharged for another hour as the instructions said. This is the stainless steal one but I doubt that matters.

I tried blowing out any manufacturers primer, but there was none that I could tell. I began with a 510 cartridge filled with straight PG Menthol liquid also from SEJ. I was not pleased with the amount of vapor (very very little). I then took a smaller bottle and added a few drops of pure unflavored VG to ~3ml of the PG menthol and I found a bit better vapor production and no loss of flavor.

Now...I had emailed with Jane last weekend extensively, and she brought to my attention that 901 carts fit on a 510 as well, and as I have been a dse901 user for a few months now, I took a 901 D shaped cart off my 901 unit, refilled it with the PG/VG blended liquid I just tested in the 510 cart, and much better vapor production. Cooler in the mouth, yes, but as a menthol lover thats more than fine by me.

Technical Specs from the bottom of the little box everything came in states

length: 112mm
Battery power: 18-200 operation per charge
battery life:300 charges
Charging time: 120 minutes
3.0v-3.2v

Since this is my first 510, and I've not tried the original 510 I can't comment on a difference between the two. However, my assessment would be:

A little less vapor than the 901 but not by much.
Battery does not have a center hole in it,so leakage down into it is a non issue.
The manual button has gotten stuck 2 times where the LED was off but it continued heating, this is the first charge of the battery, so I was a bit worried on that fact.
Much better performance with a 901D shaped cart than the included 510 carts, and the addition of a little VG to the PG 24mg menthol juice was the winning combination.

Joliet,
Yes, they manufacture the clone...

DSE SLB Manufactures the L2 510, the one pictured in the above post, and here is another link:

Vaporcountry also sells these, and has for a while at a cheaper price, but doesn't say they're a collaboration with joyetech and SLB's DSE to create a new style or new atomizer. It's described as it is, a DSE 510 product... Here's a link to that:

Joyetech is the manufacturer of the Joye 510, the one the L2 510 is based on. Here's a link to Joye's Website.

www.joyetech.com

;)

The only way you can tell them apart is the atomizer, joye atties have the white almost rectangular box under the wick. Clones have the metal ring.

I received my L2 today. I must say.. fast shipping and service.

I will also say that it is a beautiful PV. I got the metallic red for the wife.. and it's quite pretty.

The batteries are currently charging.

I have visually and electrically inspected the atomizers. They have the exact same "fit and finish" as the SLB "clone" atomizers that I previously received from Rob at Vaporkings. A standard 510 cartridge will fit a bit loosely.. a new 901 cartridge fits nicely.

I checked both attys on my DMM. They came in at 3.3 and 3.4 Ohms... same as the ones that I got from Rob.

I will not comment on performance until I've actually had an opportunity to vape a few "bowls" through them..... ;-)

I got some SLB 510s from Rob also, about 2 months ago. At least he was clear about them not being joye attys. A little larger diameter than joyes, 3.5ohm instead of 2.5, and didn't quite hit as well. Also popped one on a 5v passthrough. Only atty I've ever popped.

The difference with these L2s is the bridge - the ones I got from Rob were much smaller. Smaller than the one's in a joye 510. So apparently SLB has made some changes. Perhaps the higher resistance will be a good thing at 5v - if they can take it.

Let us know how they work out.

That was quick. I've gotten fast shipping from them on juice. Interested in your assessment. I have two of the SLB (non L2?) where I was getting a metalic flavor after cleansing thoroughly. I have three others I haven't tried but should to see if they're all like that.... other stuff to do ;-)

I'm hoping that somebody will give these a try on a 5V or a 6V mod. It might be a really nice setup. A small notch up from the 901.. but not as hot or harsh as the 510.

Should be getting my Xhaler in a day or two. I'll give it a whirl with the L2 and Joye atomizers and let you know.
