Twisted 26g kanthal build around 3mm drill bit..vaping comfortably between 35-45 watts..I've learned a lot thru this thread, however with the right wicking/build I've realized you can go well above and beyond 30 watts that many people have suggested.

How did you get the twisted 26 through the holes? I wrapped a 26/28 twist yesterday and it wouldn't go through so I spent 20 min getting the damn thing trapped under the screws on the topside. On a related note anybody find screws with a larger head to swap in?

Actually if you look back several months I proved you could vape 80% vg at 80w provided you have adequate wicking on a unmodified Lemo.

I've vaped 75-100vg everyday for the past month with no issues in my lemo @ 45 watts.

This 26g 5mm id .8ohm twisted has been vaping so beautifully also!

Been hearing more and more about the 26 twisted. Is that the best choice for flavour these days? I just picked up a Lemo 2 last night and with the stock coil, i'm loving the clouds but flavour isn't what i was expecting. Love the look of these twisted coils. This is my first RTA.

After 3 months of bliss, everything went to hell all of a sudden in getting dry hits like crazy, all of a sudden (dunno if it's related) in having one hell of a time getting the top cap off. Had to spend 3 hours to get out off. Wick and coils remain the same, 29 Guage kanthal, 2.5 id, 7 wraps, kgd cotton.

If anyone has any idea I would greatly appreciate any suggestions

Time to completely disassemble and give the parts a boil. I had a similar issue getting the upper portion of the chimney off a little while ago. Basically got glued on with ejuice that got in the threads and baked.

Without having to read 100 and some pages can anyone tell me in a nutshell what the leaking problem is?

Personally I've never had my Lemo Drop leak... I guess I should specify. I've never had it leak when it wasn't my fault for forgetting an o-ring.

I think you'll like it! I know it's in my constant rotation right along side my Erlk.

I'm still new to the Lemo.

I read that it can flood and leak when left on its side for an extended period with one juice channel up and exposed to the air in the tank. Consequently I never leave it on its side - which is not too bad since I have it on an iStick.

I also read that it can leak if you don't have enough wicking material, so people say to wick it "chunky". Still don't understand the mechanics of that.

Mine has leaked a little even in an upright position. In that case, it was on the second tank of juice, and I've never figured out why. The small amount was caught in the base, so at least it wasn't a mess.

To be honest, I still haven't been able to get "great" flavor out of it - and I'm getting a bit weary of trying. It's kind of a long, drawn out process since you can't easily drain the tank to work on the deck. I have also noticed that if I wick it "chunky", I get a somewhat harsh throat hit for the first maybe dozen pulls - which I'm guessing is due to the cotton.

very informative. Do not get a Lemo unless you want to vape wide open (or turn the air control down)

Very good point right there.i usually keep a 3mm coil in my lemo and my drop,but i decided to try a 2mm in one,and it was ok but nothing like the larger coil,so the smaller one lasted about a tank full before i pulled it and put the larger one back in.

That was my experience too. I think 3mm is about perfect! And I usually turn my airflow down about half way.

Same here, 2.75mm or larger coils work best for lung hitting. My preference is for 28 or 29g tightly twisted kanthal, 7 or 6 wraps on a 6-32 screw (2.78mm ID), wicked chunky with kgd. Flavor monster.

Guess I can answer that Jumpin.....seeing as I coined the phrase. Wicking chunky is just another way of saying wick it heavy...I didn't realize it would catch on....lol. I use kgd ... cotton and wick so heavy that I can't pull the wick through the coil by just pulling one end of it. I roll the cotton down pretty firm (not hard) and then roll the end down hard to form a point. Then I feed that end through the coil just like everyone else. Then to get the heavy wicking through the coil I grab both ends of the wick and pull. The pulling from both ends calapses the wick enough to slide it into the coil. Then when I let go of the ends the wick re-expands inside the coil. This technique allows me chain vape the stuffing outta all my rtas at 35w with 75 vg without thinning wick tails. Thats wicking chunky!

Right? But no. Those harsh hits are caused by excessive juice flooding the wick before vacuum forms in the tank. Usually right after refilling (normal). Turn up the power to compensate.

Chunky wick picks up juice from the juice well and transports juice into the coil very fast. Even faster after a tank or two when it breaks in (breaks down actually). And there's the key to wick longevity... I could wick lighter and get big clouds and flavor right away but then I'm having to re-wick after every 15ml or so. With chunky wicking I have to live with less than optimal vapor and flavor production for a tank or two but then the wick breaks in and I'm good to go for at least 60ml. Honestly I'm just to lazy to do it any other way...
