Thanks for the help....got mine together and chugging along like a champ. Got some twisted wire from a friend but did not want to disturb the coil it came with just yet. It sure is an airy draw and is it me or is it at its best after you hit on it awhile? I run too many at once and pick up whatever is nearby and it seems 'too cool' when I first hit it

With the stock coil, yeah it does take a bit to heat up,i usually push the fire button as soon as i pick up the mod, that way it's heated pretty good by the time i take a draw.I recoiled one of mine with 28 gauge and it heats up pretty quick. As for the airy draw, have you tried tightening down the air flow ring, you should be able to adjust down far enough to get it where you like it.

Now that's funny haha.I wondered when you said it was all the way down, because if i close mine all the way down,it's so tight you can barely take a draw from it,but i've also heard people say the protank was too airy,so i figured you just like a really tight draw.

To mtl hit a lemo at 15w a 2mm ID tmc coil should work better too; it will speed your coil heating time and limit juice flow.

Good luck, good to see you step up to the Lemo...:)

Thanks again, Cig, and here's my update: I built a 2.4 mm t.m.c. (using your jig, BTW) 28 gauge kanthal, 1.6Ω. Wicked chunky but not choking the coil, tails cut slightly at an angle, per your instructions. Works like a dream. No gurgling, no leaking, no problems. Getting nice flavor and just enough airflow to satisfy my MTL tootle puffing style of vaping.

Thanks again for your help!

And big thanks to the OP and all the participants of this thread! You rock! :D

What you advised for Katya is real close to what I'm running Cig, and it works real good. 2mm ID tmc coil, 30g twisted, 10 wraps that comes out to 1.5 Ohms, that I fire at 12w on my Sig mini 30. I'm a mtl also and have my AFC set to 1/2 to 3/4 turn open (After 52 years of the stinkies I don't have much lung capacity left). I cut a piece of my Labo ... cotton about 6mm wide, peel off both the top and bottom compressed sheets, roll it firmly, but not overly hard to compress it, twist one end, pull it thru while supporting my coil with two fingers so it doesn't deform, bunny ear the cotton, install the bottom section of the chimney then cut the bunny ears Exactly flush with the top of the chimney bottom, lightly push down the cotton ends and make sure that the juice channel is open, juice it good, screw the Lemo bottom section onto my mod and fire it to make sure I haven't screwed up the symmetry of my coil and I still have 1.5 ohms. If everything checks out, I put it all back together, fill it, wait about 5 min. for the cotton to get good and soaked (I'm huff'in my Magma on my SVD 2 set to 15w while I wait) and enjoy. I learned all that from you cig, and the others here on ECF BTW, no local shop for me to go to and expand my vape knowledge. To you and the many others on this forum that have taught me THE CORRECT way to use my equipment (I didn't mean it that way), Thank You very much. I'm still reading and learning, I've read this whole thread btw plus other threads, I don't ask many questions though as I can usually find the answer If I just read, and I do.

Don't feel bad,i think we have all been there on at least piece of new equipment.I got a 4nine mech mod and almost threw it in the trash because it was such a pain to use.I had to push the fire button so hard it would hurt my finger after 2 or 3 draws,so i set it aside for probably 4 months never using it.I seen a video one day,and the guy showed 2 magnets that made the spring part of the switch, but mine only had 1,so i went and looked, and guess what,it was 2 stuck together haha. All that time i thought it was a bad mod,but it was just my own Duh moment haha.
+1

BTW, that AFC is really tricky--I never know where mine's at... I think it's half way, somewhere, but I can never tell for sure.
That is the only complaint i have about my lemo's is the way the afc is.Especially when you first set it up,trying to get it where you want it,it's a pain to put it togeher, try it,take it apart to adjust, try it again, etc.,but once i get them set,i have only had to adjust 1 or 2 times,so not too bad,but yeah,i couldn't tell you exactly where mine is,could be 1/4 open, could be a 1/2 i dont know haha,i just turn and try haha.

I got tired of screwing with mine. I tried something as an experiment and it worked out great. I took off the adjuster nut and jammed tooth-picks in two of the holes. I then used a razor to trim them flush. It's almost the perfect drag for me AND it's easily undone if you don't like it.

I'm not brave enough!

I remember back before the site conversion, when I was on page ?, there was alot of'um anyway, that the OP of this thread I think suggested to use a drip tip O-ring and place it on top of the adjuster nut (as your looking down at the base in adjustment mode). I tried it and still use that technique, the only time it moves is when I move it.

Can you explain this better? From the inside or the outside? Remove the screw altogether and add oring and then put screw back?

Sorry, my bad. With the bottom 510 section taken off of the bottom of the Lemo, flip the Lemo upside down while holding it so that your looking directly into the bottom adjustment section like your going to adjust the nut. The nut is looking up at you, now slip a 510 drip tip O-ring down over and around the center post, but not over or past the adjuster nut, just pressed against it. The threads of the center post will keep the O-ring in place. If the O-ring seems too loose, then look for a tighter O-ring, they are NOT all the same size by any means. With the O-ring pressed against the adjuster nut it will keep that nut from loosening up (like mine would when I would take a hit sometimes, then other times not a hair). It won't restrict your airflow one bit, but keeps pressure on the adjuster nut so it wont move. Hope this helps and I didn't confuse you.

Someone recommended a 2mm x 1mm oring if I remember. Yeah, a lot of pages ago. Someone said they used blue or green loctite too. I used boiled linseed oil (natures locktite so to speak) before going wide open on the airflow.

Purple. Purple is removable. :)

Yeah, like 1000 or 1100 pages. I started on page 1 and was like 200-250 from being all caught up to date when the site did it's conversion (I had been gone to Sioux Falls, SD. for over a week) and I went "NO WAY, I've got to start all over ? ". I also noticed that none of my Hundreds of links worked anymore either. You said a 2mm x 1mm O-ring ? Have you confirmed that its the correct size Cig, I'll take your word that it works though. Where to get, or just Google it ?

I might of confused myself, I might of been thinking of the Rayon thread when I typed that. Sorry !!!
