I got mine ( lemo drop silver) and been trying to build a coil for days.....just not any good at it.....terrible in fact. 30 g kanthal around a 1/8 bit and I'm at 3.8 ohms....another at 4.0. I'm all thumbs at this and figure that I may have to just stick to my Protanks......
I bought premade 1.8 for them from. fast---- and just replace wick with cotton.....that I can work with.....this thing not so much.
Anybody want it?....pm me

How many wraps are you doing? Try to lower it to see how it impacts your build? With a single coil build, and 28 gauge, I generally shoot for 5-6 wraps only and it seems to work well.

5.5 volts is as high as the istick will go with it on there......
really lost interest after 5 tries, I have very little patience with something that I have to fiddle with :)

If memory serves the I stick will do 20 watts,
try building a 1.2 to 1.7 ohm coil
your are building way too high

Ditch the 30 gauge, and go with 28ga wire before giving up. 3.8-4.0Ω is WAY to high.

6 to 8 wraps using your 1/8" drill bit should fire nicely on an istick.

Well back to my CLT until I break open my boxes full of accessories. My negative post hole threading was apparently stripped, not even hand tight on my new 26 gauge build and I felt the resistance open wide up and thought "crap..." yep, screw is absolutely fine, however neither the original or the replacement that came with the Lemo will tighten down....damn shame really cause I did enjoy that guy. Hopefully one of the other screws I have will survive in it or I get another Lemo after the Christmas bills are caught up and hope this one is threaded a little better.

I'd try contacting Eleaf iSmoka/Eleaf electronic cigarette
They may send you a new base.
    Worth a try...

That's not a bad idea, I fired them an email - what's the worst they say? No? LOL. I'd even be happy if they sold replacement decks at a lower price cause this tank was awesome for my uses. Fortunately I have a CLT that can tide me over for the time being, and I feel not too bad cause I've been ignoring my other atties LOL.

Does anyone know the specs of the stock coil? What's the gauge? Also, is it Kanthal?

So far, my own coils haven't been as good as the stock. They seem to perform well enough, they light up fast (much faster than the stock) and from the middle with no visible hot spots. However, the flavor is a bit off...a tad stale even compared to the stock coil.

I have been making micro contact coils only. I intend to try a slightly spaced one next time, but I'm curious if the difference I'm tasting is due to different materials or wire gauge.

I'm using 28g Kanthel at around 1.2 Ohms.

Also, would the coil diameter affect the taste? Mine are smaller...I'm using a 'bit' supplied with the Artistic Coil Winding Gizmo (the second from the smallest).

If I remember right (I didn't use the stock coil long) mine metered out to 1.12 ohm and it was 26 gauge kanthal and around 3/32" for diameter. Probably the best looking coil I've ever seen come out of a factory though.

I probably just need more practice then...I'm still new at this.

Assuming I stay at the same resistance, would going to 26g from 28g influence flavor for the better?

Prebuilt one in there was big

Are we putting the wires around the screws or through the holes - I went through the holes on the first build - Having difficulties with an rda through the holes grabbing onto the wire and not squishing the wire. lemo was much better at grabbing the wire.

I wanted to see if anyone can provide some insight as to my wicking...I've had my Lemo Drop for a little over 2 weeks now with absolutely zero issues, however in the past 2-3 days I'm getting dry hits on almost every other hit. I haven't changed much in terms of my build/wicks - has anyone experienced regular dry hits and found out what was causing it?

I'm running a 1 ohm coil at 30W - not sure on the exact diameter of the coil but it's quite large so my wick is also quite large. I've been cutting the wick to about 1cm above the chimney, then fluffing out the ends and stuffing them down trying not to compress them too much (I've read that you don't need to worry about blocking the juice channels as compared to a Kayfun - true?). I'm using a decent amount of cotton but heard the Lemo setup does better with more cotton compared to something like a Kayfun. Thoughts?

I'm curious to know if there are any tips or tricks for making the bends of the coil legs for getting them aligned nicely to pass through the holes on the Lemo. (wow, that sure is a run on sentence.. -- sorry) I've been using the coil that came with the device (measured at 1.4Ω)and now I'd like to make new coil. In the past I've wrapped the legs around the deck screws on the Kayfun but thought it would be a change to give the through hole method a go on the Lemo. I must admit I'm impressed with the coil that came with the Lemo -- it looks very well made.
Not looking to make a jig or anything complicated -- I'd just like to know if there is some way to figure how to make the 90° bends. I do have tiny needle nose pliers I think would work.
I'm really impressed with the Lemo after using it for a week now. Love the larger capacity but I am a little leery of the glass tube. Think it would be a good idea to get some replacements.
Any suggestions? I'd be appreciative of any help and hints. I also tried to find the link for the site that had the great price on glass tubes -- can I throw that in with my request for help? TIA .....

I haven't tried the through the holes method yet, but have saved the included coil to use as a guide.
Looks like they put a 90 about 3/16" from the coil side.
    I bought replacement glass here:

I just use tweezers. Leave the coil on your drill bit or screwdriver or whatever you wrap it on, grab the wire just below where you plan to bend it, then bend. Works great. I clip it off, put the bent legs in, screw it down, then remove the screwdriver it's wrapped on and pulse/compress if it needs it.

For reference, I'm running 26 awg coils at 1/8" and about 1.3-1.5 ohms. Comes out to about 7 or 8 wraps. Bigger wire and larger coil diameter than I tend to use on Kayfuns.

ETA: If I'm using 28 or smaller, I tend to trap under the screws for 2 reasons: it's pretty easy to clip the wire screwing it down, and the longer legs you need to use the holes tend to add more resistance with the smaller wires. If I'm running dual coils or a parallel/twisted/etc build, I'll use the holes for 28.
