I use a oring that came on a drip tip and put it in the bottom so the nut wouldn't back itself down 20150124_141635.jpg

So, I know this question had probably been answered way back, but I haven't the patience to search through 221 pages of posts.

What's the wire that the Lemo comes built with / extra in the package? Is it 26 gauge nichrome? I just built two nearly identical coils on two Lemo Drops, one using 26 gauge kanthal and the other using whatever came in the plastic baggie. Both 2.4mm interior diameter, 9 wraps slightly spaced, using the post holes, both wicked with rayon. The kanthal build came out to 1.3 ohms, the included wire came out to 0.9 ohm.

They vape pretty much the same, not a whole lot of difference. However, the included wire seems a little less springy, a bit easier to work with, and has lower resistance. Is it just nichrome?

BOOM!

Do you guys torch your wire NI200 or not? Pros and Cons I'm using 32awg twisted
Do not torch or dry burn Ni200, and avoid contact coils.
Not to say it can't be done but the chances of direct shorts in the coils is pretty high.
Ni200 does not oxidize like kanthal or nichrome thus does not insulate between the wraps very well.

so i've always'ed used cotton balls, but to day i decide i would try some of the cotton pads. But i'm always getting dry hits. i've tried wicking like i do with the balls and also tried wick a little looser as suggested in a different post. still its a no go. any advise would be helpful. On the plus side dry hits don't taste as bad... LOL

What cotton pads are you using?
Are you removing the thin cotton mesh from both sides?
Are you cutting out your wick from the pad with the grain or against?

I exclusively use Shiseido Japanese cotton.
Gently peel the mesh from both sides.
With scissors I cut to my desired width with the grain.
Japanese cotton has the cotton fibers lined up in one direction, don't cut across the fibers cut with the fibers.

If you are using American cotton pads your on your own I have no experience with them.

Can I get a list of mods that the Lemo will hybrid on to with the m32 connection? I've been searching over the last 12 hours and can't hardly find any information on this. I know there's more than just the Evic Supreme.

Afaik the Evic Supreme is the only one.
In fact the Lemo was purpose built for the Evic Supreme for hybrid mode.

I was having a little leaking out of one of the air holes. Think the plug was not all the way in. Mine came with one plug installed and one in the bag but I think I may have to go to the screw. So far it hasn't leaked any more. Kind of a shortfall if you ask me.

Give the plug some more time. Once you've used it a few times, you'll see it's really the better way to go.

Personally couldn't decide between a lemo or a Billow. I got a Lemo on the way, sold on the idea of running it hybrid on my Evic Supreme. It's been on the side getting very little use...love the mod it's just pretty big to carry outside the house. Hoping the Lemo males it little more useable.
Cheers

I'm not sure which brand they are, I got them from a local vape shop. I cut with the grain and I peel the mesh off both sides. Tease is the cotton.

I think you made the right choice. Especially if you want to lay the device horizontal. The billow leaks like a sieve laying on it's side; doesn't matter how you wick it. It's Lemos for this vaper. Everything else besides my Lemos, Egrip and RDA's have hit the junk drawer. Serves them right.

That leads me to ask.
How are you doing your wicking?
I have vaped with Japanese cotton up to 80 watts with 80% vg in a Lemo and can tell you if you are getting dry hits then you need to rethink your wicking.
Not necessarily what you are using for a wick, but how you how you are wicking.

You've heard less is better, on a dripper I'd agree, but this is not a dripper, this is a rebuildable tank with a heating coil encapsulated in a small vacuum chamber and there for must keep that wick 100% saturated at all time, and able to keep up with with the rate of evaporation.
I say to you in the case of the Lemo more is better,.
I'm pretty sure that I've been working with a Lemo before most people ever heard of it, and have literally built hundreds of coil and wicking combinations.
And have discovered a h3ll of a lot of ways of how not to do it with kanthal and Ni200

The only method that now I use is my bridge wick method, search this thread for info.
this method works every time, and will give you the best consistant vape possible.
You can do it with or without the bridges, but I recommend using the bridges.
Once you have your coil wicked cut the wick tails 1/2 to 3/4 cm above the lower chimney
Use a small screwdriver or something small enough to block off the juice channels to keep them clear while you gently maneuver the ends of the coil tails down onto and across the lower deck, it is imperative you keep the juice channels clear.
The cotton in your coil needs to be pretty snug, not loose like you would do on a dripper.
Prejuice both ends of your wick before installing your top chimney, if you did everything right you should see juice just start to peak out from the lower juice channels on both sides, this is good and means your juice channels are open.

Make damn sure all your mating surfaces, orings and gaskets are clean and in good condition, especially the oring on the upper chimney , in fact lube it with a few drops of juice before you install the top cap.

If you do these things I will guarantee you will not get a dry hit or a leak period.
