Don't have a tank yet, but for $10 at HD I might pick one up just to play with
I use this, doesnt have to be SS, but lately I've been using SS products LOL

Let's make a bet: these tanks will crack just like all of the others which have used polycarbonate. PC is an amorphous plastic which has only very moderate Resistance to a phenomena known to polymer chemists as ESCR. Now, this will not happen with all juices, but it will happen with some. The problem is that you want a clear plastic tube, and most clear plastics do not have very good ESCR resistance. There are some with much better properties, but since you are paying your stock supplier for material and not me, he should be the one to advise you.
There are some types of glass that are very tough to mechanical impact while also being impervious to basically any chemical-or at least any that are found in vaping.

Well I've not had the cracking problem except with the Stormy tank but it is very thin, too thin for me. I replaced that tank with a cut off syringe and it works great. But even if a tank did crack from my negligence in using a juice Mikes advised against using a replacement tank tube is pretty cheap.
I find if I use a product as intended by it's maker and marketer it generally turns out to work pretty darn well.

Cat I may offer a flat screw type setup instead of the THUMB screw ? not sure yet but go into ANY Home depot or Ace and ask far a 6-32 screw and they will KNow exactly what we are talking about so not a big deal girl !
I have samples coming and will test them out first
I am not trying to make a Radiation resistant tank here Tony just a GOOD one ! Pyrex could be used but 95% of people do not need it IMO ? might be wrong , been before ! LOL
These are about as close to the filler bottles I was thinking of as I could find. The smallest one is 60ml; that'd work.
lol Yea, but my guy has a last name Grips. The one I thing I don't have is a vice. At least I don't think I do. The garage is a mess. lol
This idea looked like it would replace the need for a vice or that someone to hold the carto. I've watched my husband do it with a vice and the drill bit jumps around a bunch before it grabs. This idea would stop that. (it was stolen from that other tank thread)
Yup, but I have plenty of scrap pieces of 2x4, don't think we have a hole punch. Even if we did, setting up the 2x4 is a one time thing and I like the idea that ALL the holes drilled from then on will be in the same spot. My husband has just been eying them to decide where to drill the holes, and I guess I have a bit of OCD, because although every hole he has drilled and slot he has dremeled has worked fine it annoys me that they are always in a slightly different spot!
most people posting seem to be more worried about the screw... i don't care about the screw because i'd just be careful with it.
I would buy a pyrex tube and i'd try to be careful with that... mostly because i vape Snickerdoodle and i think it has cinamon oil in it... it would cost more i know, but it would last longer too.

As I said earlier the only thing that would get me to buy a pyrex one, is if it was a really beautiful hand blown and colorful piece! That would be cool.

I ordered one of those bottles that a regular needle goes on and I'll pick up some of these to go on it.
