most of the guys n gals here know tanks; not me... so having pre cut cartos is great. They are out. tank Newbs don't know which cartos to use and some don't seem to fit.

wow, you guys at NC are fast; so much new came out in the last month; pretty soon there will be a notcig rebuild-able atty.

bummer about #2 on test unit vvpv... that stinks. but you gotta figure ecf readers are gonna jump on a generous offer and some aren't gonna be responsible. What about sending out the latest proto version in it's place? hint.

Ya the VVPV thing sucks big time , I have parts to make another one I just have to get off my ... and do it !

Cost of the tank would be higher than Mike wanted and weight is an issue with stainless.

Tried punching one Fusion, tonight I'll try the Dremel approach on a second one. I assume with Dremel you just want a small horizontal slit (parallel to the top and bottom).

then pick the metal splinters/flakes out of the slit you make, just so you can see all white through the hole

I'm gonna stick to my dremel, the one I punched the other night leaks when I fill the tank. I think I knocked it out of round because the leaking is from the tank bottom hole when I have the Fusion pulled out enough to fill. This is not on Mike's tank tho, it's my Liquinator. At least it's not leaking while I'm vaping.

I ordered an M1A1 last night, looking forward to the fill port

I'm sure my question has been asked but I don't remember the answer. Are we slotting cartos at the same measurement from the bottom as we are for the Liquinator?

That's sorta what I was thinking, thanks for the quick answer Verm For the tanks I currently have, I'm slotting 3/8" up from the bottom (boges) or from the lip on the fusions.

Using the jig and punch set works perfectly. No more dremmeling

I actually didn't notice any difference in the action of a slotted carto vs a punched one. punching is quite a bit quicker and pain free(assuming you don't smash your thumb)

I am interested in you guys opinion on why the dremmel is better

with a dremel, you don't run the risk of deforming your carto.
