I'm not saying that you should copy anyone, but a system "similar" to the Super T is best honestly. The vents are in the body (where the batts are) and are angled 30 degrees away from the user. This would eliminate the need for vents on either end, but you *could* keep the ones on the opposite end just to be extra safe I suppose.

Seriously there's a couple of threads on the ECF Forum about exploding batteries.
It's highly unlikely to ever happen if you follow basic precautions. Use the correct charger for the batteries, use matching pairs at all times, do not over-charge, check them regularly and discard any that don't look intact, remove batteries from device when it won't be in use for a while, do not short circuit, do not keep them loose with change or keys, better yet, keep them in proper battery cases - it's all basic stuff and if you're not sure, RTFM or look up safety guidelines before using them.
Just for information. I haven't ever seen one explode or vent in operation, only when actually being charged (incorrectly usually).

Do you want to disappear the spring from the GG?!!!
Do you want to have an immortal and disposable button together?!!!
Do you want to put out and put in the button in place without a tweezer?!!!
Do you want the ability to have a removeable button?
Do you want to clean the button easier than ever?!!!
Do you want a GG that is 99mm in total length (6mm smaller than Trans) and still holding 2xcr123A batteries?
Do you want a GG that is at 75mm (10mm smaller than the GG Grant) but without loosing any of Telescope features and still holding 2 CR2 batteries with a small transformation?!!! (It looks like 70mm because the button is very small so you dont see it as a measurement in total length). (If you put 2xcr123A batteries is like Grant!!!)
Do you want to make the button very small as it was before (like the not updated Grant) and move the lock option from button to another place and in a way that you cant imagine?!!!
Do you want the lock option to be totally invisible?!!!
Do you want to stop all battery movement inside GG even if the battery has the half width of GG?!!!
Do you want to be protected from the second battery explosion??!!!
And the last one:

ban, if y6ou notise my holes are in the body where batteries are. Batteries are on the telescope system too so I put holes there to avoid second battery explotion. The first battery will defuse from the front holes of GG and the second battery explotion will defuse from the holes at back. In supett, if the battery that is in front of the holes or back of them explode, the other battery will block the defuse.
