Nice :)
This is why I've been looking at the 8W
that and I want to hybrid one.
I've got a couple CIAV fauxgatti top caps that I got from kidney puncher.
But I need some in 22mm, 23mm and some Rsst ones :)

The one I got for the igo-l didn't actually fit - I guess my igo-l is a clone... it fit another FT atty, but it doesn't completely cover the base :(

I have so much money already spent in devices coming from pre-orders and slowtech that......
it really makes me want to just get the 8w NOW :) lol.

I ready like the 8w button and tube, though I brushed it to match my Kayfun Lite. The top is atrocious, whoever decided on the the hybrid cap with hidden ego threading for a mechanical mod should be tarred and feathered. I'm hopping sigelei comes out with an after market cap for the 8w similar to the 19. I tend to order must of my sigelei parts from Vaportek. I've got another 19 button on the way. So far all of my equipment is Sigelei, 8w, two 19's brass and stainless and a v3 flat top. I feel like I need a big ... Sigelei sticker for my car, lol. All the 19's from Vaportek come with no magnets, and no glue. They seem to know what the people want, so they order them from China that way.
Here's a pic of my 8w with Kayfun Lite and brass B2 shorty from Driptipdesignz.

Cool :)
I've got a Russian 91% on pre-order from VaporTek (before they figured out the price issue ;) )
So, I was looking to put it on the 8W in hybrid mode.
Mod the switch - using some magnets; and it should be perfect.

I've got the same DTD brass driptip on my gold Ibtanked Ehpro

That's beautiful, I came so close to purchasing the shipwreck from litecig, instead choose the 8w. I knew I was going to brush it so I chose the cheaper Sigelei to scotchbrite to death, lol. I'm more of a satin finish guy, polished things are pretty until I touch it, then it's just fingerprints, lol. Love the setup though.

Got mine today too. I dig it!

I like the ease of the throw, but it's a touch too long. And yeah, that wobble. I sorta kinda don't trust it to NOT fire
when sitting by itself, so I keep locking it, which is kind of a hassle.

I've read most of this thread. EXHAUSTING! But informative. Kudos to you folks to figured out the little fixes.

But is there anything that can be done to shorten the throw and make the button more stable?
I'd like to know before I attempt to disassemble the bottom cap/button. Because I really don't know
... I'm doing anyway. It'd be nice to have some kinda how-to for idiots like me.

Well, Vaportekusa is out of the 8W buttons.
I decided to order the whole device in 18650 from 101vape with their 12% off - came out to $27.50 shipped ($1.99 shipping).

I'm gonna try the opposing magnet method for the switch (like I've done to the sig19s).
Gonna shorten the throw buy shaving down the delrin ring a little and put a washer or o-ring under the buttons center post pin.

Hopefully that works out. Guess I'll find out in a week or so.

Ah. So I should be able to (fairly) easily disassemble the bottom button and put an o-ring from a drip tip in there? Just like on the 19?
Mine came from 101vape. I have no idea if there is glue in there or not....

There is no glue , just unscrew the button.
Also got 2 tube's from 101 but caps from ebay, ends up $24 total per unit.
Same night had party and lost one set of caps... looking at one empty tube for now:(
I'll probably will wait for fixed caps from #20 for extra tube, did not liked the locking ring on 8 , tho it will be reversed threading... but it's not.

I think the trade off is you either get a strong spring and difficult firing switch with no wobble, OR a softer spring with easy firing and have to put up with the wobble in the switch. As I have posted previously, by removing part of a coil from the spring in one of the new unglued switches, mine fires very easily, but not so much that you can't set it down on the end. To tell you all the truth, I prefer the KTS Storm both in form and function to the Sigelei 8W. Now as far as looks, the 8W is just plain beautiful. Since you can only vape one at a time I am usually vaping my Vamo and admiring my little Caravella clone.

Yeeeeah.....I put a drip-tip grommet under the firing pin and HOLY CRAP yeah it shortens the throw. So much that it made me uneasy about setting it down. I took it out and will live with the only-somewhat-long throw. Stock really IS good enough.

Until I can find a SUPER THIN shim (with a large enough internal diameter) or something.....

The wobble bugged me that I stopped using the tube. But here is a simple fix that made me like it more. Electrical tape on the battery makes it snug.

I actually recommend using a layer of electrical tape on my batteries after finding out that one of my 18350 batteries had an exposed metal part on the side from the plastic seal rubbing off and completing a circuit which my atty was automatically firing.

Y'know, I put some electrical tape on my 18350 battery because of a slight rattle. It was firing just fine. Then I saw the screw under the top cap and realized that was for making the battery snug (I hope). So I backed that out a little, removed the tape, and no rattle.

But you have a good point about safety there. Noted. You really CAN'T be "too careful."
Unless you're not having any fun. Then....what's the point? :D

Yes, there are actually two screws in the top cap. One is for adjusting the the firing pin for your particular atty. It's the bigger diameter one inside the top cap. You have to use your fingernails or pliers to turn it. The 2nd one is the smaller, inside one. Adjust that out to remove battery slop - after you've adjusted the other one for the atty.

Here's mah 8W with AGT on top. Aside from the AGT being a bit too small, it looks purty snazzy, if I do say so mahself.
Only had the 8W for a few days and although I've tried to be extra careful, it's already developing tiny hairline scratches.
Would Simichrome do anything to actually protect against this?

I tried the screw adjustment and it worked. I had to removed some of the tape since it wouldn't seat all the way in my charger.

I learned that the best way for me to use this mod is by grabbing the top cap edge with thumb and pointer finger then push it down on my pinky. Knowing these tips makes this my fav mod right now in 18650 mode.
