I have a bunch of dead 510 stick batteries from "the old days" that I use for things like that. They're finally good for something.
The Depot has a "Thread Checker" little guage in their hardware section but alas, nothing seems to fit it...
Leave it to the Chinese to come up with a proprietary size and thread....
It's the only way they can survive. I'd a thought some machinist would have measured it and made some "accessories" and tooling for it. Copycatting is fair game, right?

Can we confirm if the new "Reborn" Phoenix XL's has a sealed 510 connection as shown in Chris's OP:
The reason I ask is because I just received these 808's (apparently) and they dont seem to incorporate the sealed connection. Keep in mind I know nothing about 808, but if this is a Reborn 808:

I was under the impression a 808 connection was male threaded like a 510, but slightly larger..
I guess this is not the case...

808 is male on the battery, female on the delivery system. That looks exactly like the 808s I got yesterday. I have a suspicion that these are the older style, but they still work great! Ordered Friday afternoon and got 'em yesterday! Great service!
Thanx awsum for the clairification. Mine were received in error as all my stuff is 510, but EVERYONE makes mistakes, and I'm not upset. GV ALWAYS makes good, and thats why I do business with them.
If however, the 510's are not sealed, as shown in Chris's OP, then I must reconsider their purchase, as I have plenty of old school in reserve. I was counting on the sealed connection, among other improvements.....
