OK, got a pair of REO's yesterday and after some frustration and little too much extended happy hour last night I finally got one going this morning. This is my first adventure into this and the first build was on a Nuppin single coil 7 wraps on 3/32nd rod 28g Kanthal 1.27ohm's wicked it with Ready X Wick with angle cut tails that touch the floor on each side.

The taste isn't there, but it's better than the first try when just one side of the wick touched so I'm making progress. Anybody got a simple builds that work for Virus, BG / Gravity, Cure or Radio? I've got lots of wire, plenty of wicks just no ideas about what to try next.

Has anyone here ever used Egyptian Cotton for wicking material? Pros? Cons? My local vape shop gave me a small sample to try.

I tried it once by was underwhelmed. It wasn't any better than other cotton to my taste and scorched very easily (for me). I am happy wicking with rayon though. I am using the OCC heads in the STs except for when I have them on a temp control mod...then it's whatever the Ni heads are wicked with. I haven't rebuilt any.

Okay. Here's a question that may be slightly "off-topic" but I think this is the correct forum to ask this question. So here goes: I am finding that I need to step down in my milligrams of nicotine. I want to take it down from 6 to 3mg. Is it true that most e-liquid dispensed in 3mg. are made mostly for dripping? I ask this because when I order juice, I sometimes see a notification that the "3mg. is for "drippers." What say, anyone?

Thanks!

The only thing I know about 'dripping juice' is that it is usually high VG and I avoid it like the plague. I can't do VG in high concentrations. It is thicker and better for dripping and cloud blowing. Otherwise, 3mg juice is just 3mg juice. Check the pg/vg ratio.

I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but since you haven't gotten an answer, let me try. First, I think it is a bit better to have some of the wick on the deck, not just touching. This shouldn't effect taste as much as juice availability to the coil. There are people who say the height of the coil will determine the amount of heat and vapor and taste. I just don't remember what is what. My best suggestion would be to hit some videos about this. I know SXDrifter (I think that is the name...damn I am not very helpful) has videos for coiling and wicking.

Just go to youtube and search for building the Nuppin. I bet you will have more info than you want!

Thanks, I got it working over in the REO thread, I guess they have more dedicated fans looking to help out.

Sorry I haven't been around as much as of late. TX, Although I am not a big fan of RXW, my experience has been that it takes a while for it to break in flavor wise. I also find that even after it is well broken in, for me, it somewhat mutes the flavors. With that being said, I am a big Nuppin' fan and have 5 in the stable. Prefer to wick them with cotton. Here is a picture of the single coil set-up in "Brassy" which is dedicated to all things Radioactive. ( Please dismiss the blackness of the "loopy wire coil" as it has been in service for over 3 months but it's still hitting strong!)

Top 20 Must-Vape Sweetened Tobacco E-Liquids Nicoticket wins the number one spot with The Virus-H1N1! Deservedly so. I just tried another tobacco flavor from Nicoticket today called Radioactive. I like Radio even better than The Virus. Don't be afraid to try these wonderful ejuices. I thought tobacco eliquid wasn't for me for almost a year!

Need some advice from my fellow NT family members! My goal is to get away from buying pack after pack of coils! I have a REO and I do like that it is sturdy and easy to build coils and use and I am at a crossroads of getting another or looking at alternatives. I have tried the kanger sub tank and using the rebuild deck but it just hasn't impressed me. So suggestions are more than welcome! I am intrigued by the Provari but I want to save some dinero on the whole coil issue! I have tried to be patient and wait on a NT squonker but I don't know if it is really coming!

Morning Megan! I do rebuild my older protank coils but I have not been very successful with the Kanger dual coils and definitely not successful at all with the BVC for the Nautilus minis! Most of my tanks are the aerotanks and the Nautilus minis. I do rebuild the single coils for my old evod and protank 2 minis!

The reason I can rebuild the single coils is thanks to YOU! I followed your videos and they work great!

Thank you! Glad I could help! :)

You can rebuild the subtank coils, I've done those but never got as good a flavor as I do with the deck. Since the deck doesn't hit for you maybe rebuilding the heads would work? Lots of vids on youtube for those. And I never got the dual coils to work for me either in rebuilding them...

When I was using the Kanger duals on a regular basis, I always rebuilt them as singles. Was able to successfully build a couple as duals but it was truly a PITA. Have had great success with the OCC's by dropping them from 3mm coils to 2mm and using Cotton Bacon for the wicks. The secret there is bunching up enough wicking material to the ends of the coil.

Chili, have you considered going to something like the Orchid v2?

Thanks Distorto! I'm off to research an Orchid!
My 2 cents:
I like Orchids. Great flavor. There is a short learning curve as far as wicking is concerned, but they are in my top three for constant use and enjoyment.

I agree AD, there is a bit of a learning curve in regards to building and wicking, but it's really not all that bad and once you have it down, the juice is worth the squeeze.

And I agree with you, Distorto. It isn't all that bad at all and definitely worth the "squeeze."

Hi everyone I have a question/concern with my latest purchase of the cure. The born date is 6/17/2015. And i just revived my order on mon 7/20. I have tried it in various tanks ( Monster v2, Atlantis v2, Triton ) and different builds from claptons, parallel, and a standard wrap with nickel, kantal, titanium, and even SS ) at around 35-45 watts on the ipv4 ( updated )well usually when I get a fresh bottles in (120ml this time ) I like to let it breath for 24-48 hrs and after I'd fill a tank and test her out. Well I don't know if it's I'm getting older and my taste buds aren't as sharp as they once were or what but this batch of the cure doesn't taste like the norm. It's very bland, I'm not getting " The Cure " that I'm used to. I don't know what to do next besides let it steep ? I'll usually let it sit for 5 -7 weeks, but I've never had a batch this week, it's just not its usual flavor very week like it's almost missing something wich I'm pretty sure it's not but something is definitely off. Any ideas, or suggestions ?? Thanks in advance, any info or suggestions will help at this point.
