Mine are both authentic, too, so not sure on the clones either, but its a pretty simple design so I doubt they're terrible. I almost bought one to compare, but haven't.

Boden, I got my first 2 from Angel Cigs. They had them on clearance for an incredible $5 apiece. Then I got 3 more from fast tech. They've all been very reliable, even though they were cheap. I had to replace a couple of o-rings on the fast tech ones, but they've been trouble free ever since. These are my favorites, with the Aqua v2 a close second.

Fast Tech has a lot of Erls, though, and some of the other ones are probably just as good or better.
Thanks everyone on your help in getting the mesh for the Taifun GS. I just found a bunch of sellers on eBay and have placed an order for $5 worth. I hope this stuff lasts awhile and you don't have to replace it with every rewick.

While I like to vape on Erl, I do not like its overall design. Tank should be empty when disassembling, filling is a bit tricky - wide mouth bottle is of no use.
They definitely have their drawbacks, and a lot of people find them hard to wick. But the flavor is just exceptional!

Thanks, TrollDragon! That's a really nice manual. I just took a look at the wicking instructions and they are excellent. I'm going to use it once my mesh gets here. Mine came with the PTFE sticks, but I think from reading the Taifun thread that people don't find they work as well.
You are most welcome, I want to try the Cotton Pad cut from a piece of KGD and see how that works too.
There is a alternative mesh wick style that dwcraig1 posted in the Taifun GT thread that looks promising too, where the mesh is offset and not resting on the wick but down on the Rayon tails.
I have big shoulders on my wick and my mesh sticks up into the tank a fair ways after pushing it down into the wick from the top.
It will have to leak once on you just out of spite, but after that it is a great little tank! Mine lives on the iStick 20W @ 15W for a perfect vape.

I've been doing some thinking on the UD Bellus, and I guess I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be a good tootle tank. It has side airflow only so no giant air hole under the coil that just doesn't quite work as a low power tank. My RDAs like that can certainly tootle. Also it has a big reducer that blocks off one side of the deck for single coil use. What also would happen is that chamber would be much smaller, which should increase flavor. I'm thinking of doing the preorder. I need another tank like I need a hole in the head, but I'll take one for the team
I also read last night someone is tootling the Cthulhu v2 with the single coil deck. With its monster sized wick channels I wouldn't have expected that, but he says he's vaping it at 12W and its awesome.

Hmm... Guess I'll be skipping that one, then; I haven't liked a single side airflow thingie I've tried yet. The only ones I've liked are KFL+, Magma, and Achilles... all with the airflow right beneath the coil. If the air doesn't come up from right below the coil, I mostly can't taste anything, and there ends up being wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much airflow. The magma is almost too airy for me, even using just one of the tiniest holes, but it doesn't seem to matter because the flavor is so good -- ditto that with the KFL+, though I can tighten down the airflow prettty well, still *almost* too airy. With the Veritas and Derringer (side-flow air), even with almost NO airhole showing AT ALL, it's like a wind tunnel, can't feel ANY resistance in the draw AT ALL while MtL vaping, and no flavor.

This thread has really inspired me. So last night, I pulled out the Rose V2 that's been sitting in a cabinet for several weeks and put a build on it to see if it lived up to the hype. And OMG, the flavor is just incredible! I couldn't put it down. I'm working on my second tankful this morning.
But does it have to be so #*@#$%^& ridiculously hard to coil? I ruined 2 coils trying to get them mounted. And then I broke the little tab off one side of the ceramic cup when I finally got it in. Since the coil was finally in place, I just left it that way and tightened the coil down.
I had no problem at all wicking it. But that seems to be my major problem with RTAs. So far I've gotten the wicking right on every tank I've tried. I just browse the threads, note the suggestions, find a picture of a working build, and copy it. But I always have this big problem getting the coils mounted. They either have ridiculously tiny screws to trap the wire or, like the Rose, you have to mount them in such a tiny area that even my small hands are too big. It seems like it always takes me a good 20-30 minutes just to get a coil mounted without it getting mangled up. And then the wicking is done in less than 5 minutes.
I have a Kayfun still sitting in the cabinet. I opened it up, looked at the build deck and thought "You've got to be kidding!" And put it back away.
