Anything for non-building tootie puffers? That's where I'm seeing no development. Anything 22mm sized is sub-ohm. I'm looking for 1.3 or higher so it'll work on my vw devices like provari.

Kabuki uses Aspire Nautilus coils.

Aspire Triton has 1.8 ohm coils and with airflow shut down is very good for m2l according to Phil Busardo.

I think the newer Kanger Subtanks have higher ohm coils available now, and the ability for tighter airflow.

And if you want to start building, PM me and I'll help :)

The Achilles is certainly no sub-ohm, but you do have to build coils for it. Piece of cake in that atty, even easier than a Kayfun.

That's where I'm at, too. Credit to Roxy for trying to help me build on a Squape, but when the third build started leaking Again!, I decided that building on an RTA wasn't for me.

So, I'm content with my RDAS but I don't feel comfortable taking those out of the house; taking them to work and chucking clouds in my office isn't going to fly. That's when I put a 2.4 ohm Smok BCC tank with a $.95 head on my Coolfire, dial it down to 8.5 watts, and head on out the door!

What concerns me is that with more and more people going the sub ohm RTA route, manufacturers will stop making higher ohm coils. And I'm gonna have to go outside if I'm Vaping RDAs. Arrrrrrrrgh...no fun in February!

Tootle puffing, to me, means higher ohms, lower wattage and simplicity! And simplicity seems go be getting dumped by the wayside. There's a time and place for complex, sub ohm builds but out in public, IMHO, isn't the place for it. I wish manufacturers would make greater strides in higher ohm coils and tanks that don't require rebuilds. But that's definitely not the current trend..

You don't HAVE TO build sub-ohm in an RDA. My Achilles is a great tootler at 1.7 ohms, and what it produces is better termed "wisps" that clouds.

But for a good RTA, kayfun is still the best bet.

But I'm an ex smoker. Andria! I can't Vape happily with wisps!

I'm an ex-smoker too. I smoked for 39 yrs -- you can vape happily with whatever you *think* you can. Cigarettes don't put off that much smoke, just lots of stink.

We were pulling into the dollar store's strip mall one day, and I saw a lady standing outside smoking. About 3 stores down, were some people vaping -- and what they produced was about 10 times the amount that the smoking lady produced. I said to my husband, "There's some people vaping down there," even though I couldn't yet see them. He says, "How can you tell, you can't even see them!" I said "See that cloud?" Then I pointed to the lady smoking -- "See what she's producing? THAT's how I know they're vaping!"

I bought an A6 last month, just to see if I could build a +2.0 ohm coil on it for that tootle puff experience lol...but the deck's too small, the posts are too close together. Back to the drawing board! ( really great flavor though, with a .6 ohm build!:))

hurricanegirl, right now I'm vaping on a 2.0 ohm coil in an Erkonigin and it's a great vape - and I'm not getting little wisps of vapor, I'm getting a lot more vapor than I ever got smoke from a cigarette. A couple of months ago, I never thought that I would ever find any kind of tank or RTA that would give me just as good a vape as a GS Air. But I've so far found 3 - the Erlkonigin, the Aqua V2, and the Taifun GT II.

So I hope you don't give up because of your experience with the Squape. I know there is more to getting a good vape from an RTA than from a clearomizer with blister pack coils. But I've found that if I just read the threads on the RTA I'm building on and pay attention to what problems people are having and the solutions, that I'm pretty much getting it right on my first or second build. There is such a wealth of information on this forum on just about any type of setup you want to try and people who are willing to help, that I think just about anyone can be successful at this.

I don't actually get "wisps" either, just compared to some of the fog I've seen some vapers produce -- WAYYYY more than any cigarette ever thought about producing! My vapor is thin mainly because I use 85% PG; with a more-normal ratio, it would be quite a lot of vapor, but still wouldn't fog up a room -- which fogging is analogous to what I quoted above about pouring half the shot of expensive liquor down your shirt. :D What I exhale is quite similar to what I exhaled when I smoked, but it dissipates MUCH faster than smoke, gone in seconds.

I just don't have the knack, Oregon lol..all the YT videos in the world can't save me! And I wasted a ton of juice! And ! RTA tanks go for like $25-$45 each, so there's that, too. I'm not knocking people who love RTAs. But they're not for everybody, and the market underserves those who don't care to use them.

(Tootle puffing is for factory built heads. Modwompers build their own lol...I totally disagree on RTAs being Tootle gear.)

I have to disagree. The tootle puffer thread is filled with people who build their own coils and use RTAs. The Kayfun seems to be a favorite of a lot of tootle puffers.

Is this Cleveland, OH you are located? I'm from Cleveland. I'm out near Bowling Green now, but I go to Cleveland here and there. We will have to meet. And get that Squape running. And let you try some other stuff you might like that's easier for you.

I have some ideas for you. The new Skyfall from Focusecig. Its an RDA deck on top of a tank and it squonks. You can build it single coil and tootle. See my thread in the RTA area because I have a $10 off coupon code there so $30.

If you can keep it mostly upright the Nectar RTA. Clones are only $9 from Focalecig so cheap to try. Stick in a coil, long wick, shove both ends in the tank and that will do it. The clone doesn't come with plugs for the fill hole so laying this down is probably a no no :). I kind of suspect even with the fill hole plugged it could seep out the wick holes anyway. I love this thing though and think anyone could build it.

A Prometey clone might be nice, too, if not seeing your juice is ok as its a metal tank. Its easy, doesn't leak even on planes and holds 3-4 ml so better than a dripper at work.

And of course a bottom feeding mod like a Reo paired with a nice little RDA like a Cyclone would be great for you, too. There are some inexpensive bf mods coming out of China. I'm thinking of adding this regulated one to my collection: http://focalecig.com/Product/KangXi...Mod-wRebuildable-Dripping-AtomizerBlack-30037. It comes with an RDA, and there are other inexpensive bf RDAs I could show you. They also have a 60W version. And several mechanical bf mods.

Absolutely! I've never been anything but a tootle puffer, and never will be -- but to hell with wasting money on pre-built coils, half of which don't even work, and then having to wait on those laggardly postal workers to bring them to me!!!!!

Kayfun and Achilles are a tootle puffer's best friends!

For those who have had bad experiences with RTAs. Not all of them rely on vacuum and perfect wicking :). I strongly suggest a Spheroid or Prometey. The juice is held by aquarium fluff and one bag is cheap and may last you decades. They don't even leak on planes! If you can get a coil screwed to the posts you're in business. Both give excellent flavor, tight draw and like low power. And the Spheroid can fit on an ego.

The other that's nearly bombproof is the Nectar RTA. The only negative is you need to keep it pretty much upright as its genny like. It uses a single horizontal coil though and cotton or rayon. No vertical coils, no mesh, none of the learning curve of a genny. And no vacuum or perfect wicking to mess you up. Again if you can screw a coil on, you're in business. All you have to do is run a piece of wick through the coil, then shove the tails through holes in the deck and into the tank.

I'll post some pics tomorrow of both of these for you to see.

For the budget conscious or those who don't want to spend a lot if you're worried you can't build it, there are clones of the Prometey and Nectar. Spheroids are often for sale in the classys for good prices and Vapourart has"outlet" ones for half price. They are overpolished by 4/100 of a mm, lol! Overpolished by an amount I can't see with my eyes works for me!

I got annoyed with prebuilt coils pretty quickly. I would leave the house and the dumb coil would croak on me! I had to carry them with me, make a mess changing them in a parking lot, and 30% of the new ones would be bad :( I switched to RTAs pretty quickly. My coils will last a month and won't die. I recoil once a month only because I'm partial to NETs and other gunky flavors. The coils are still working, but they get nasty looking about then. So provided I don't run out of juice and have charged batteries, no vape going out on me on the way to Walmart, making me panic and wanting a cigarette. Trust me, I almost blew it on quitting smoking a few times over prebuilt coils. I didn't hate the vape on my Aerotanks; I hated them leaving me in a lurch.
