I tootle, I womp and I may even cloud chase depending on your definition of cloud chasing. Is vaping at 0.3 ohm with quad coils or dual Claptons cloud chasing?

I need a thesaurus to even know what you're talking about! ;)

Anyone seen my blister-pack?

Or my Clapton records?

The love light in your eyes
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don't realize how much I love you"

Thank you, Mr. Clapton, for many decades of amazing music.

And coils that look like guitar strings :)

NOW I understand what you're talkin' bout!!!

Yes, we need to get you FDA proofed, too :)

I don't know that the factory heads for the subohm tanks are any better than the tootle ones are. Seriously, if we can find you the right rebuildable, the aggravation level goes down by 95% :)

That Squape may have a vacuum issue so it may not be you. The good news is I can probably have it fixed in 2 minutes for you.

I never buy sub-ohm factory heads, Roxy. Only 2.5 BOY I WISH I HAD AN OHM SYMBOL IN THIS FONT! lol ohm coils. The bad news is that only You can fix it, Roxy!
It's a great thread, Roxy - and I mean that. It's all about gear, and there's a place for that (and for EVERYTHING) in our great, big, vapin' world.

I'll only speak for myself in stating that I was just having fun with the Dueling Banjos thing.
I wish there was a Love button for that Dueling Banjos thing, DP lollol..

But DPLongo's right! It's all about gear, and there's a place for that (and for EVERYTHING) in our great, big, vapin' world.

Andria I get mine from Hoosier Ecigs. Reasonable shipping to us and very fast processing.
That's where I was getting 'em for years, Krisma, until I found this place! Not a single dead one in the bunch and I've bought hundreds. Ninety-five cents each and he ships by weight. Five for $4.95

Anyway!
Roxy, I am so far from ever lapsing back into cigarettes, it's laughable. I not only don't miss cigarettes a'tall (dueling banjos playing lol) I can honestly say I will never smoke again. If the vapocalypse comes, I have enough 24g Kanthal, organic cotton and Noalox to last until hell freezes over. If it came to the prices going through the roof, I'd simply vape the way I once smoked. I'd stop what I was doing, leave the office, and go out and vape an RDA. (Explaining a copper Nemmy is gonna be a Bea-yatch w/security lol...I'll take the Stingray! :))

I am completely and utterly safe from RTA shinyitis, which IMHO, is a good thing. Heck, that's a lot more dangerous than the vapocalypse is. Armegaddon's a maybe. Me clicking "Buy" makes it absolutely certain lol...

I love my 2.4 ohm factory coils because they taste wonderful, make a thoroughly acceptable amount of fluffy, ploomy vapor, taste amazing, and I get about 3 weeks out of one, unless a coffee or chocolate burns it out quicker...it's worthitIdon'tcarelol.. They're ninety-five cents, Roxy. Not two or three bucks..

I do need to figure out a way to dispose of these better than what I'm doing now...but that's another thread. Disposing of coils..

And you are TOO a Modwomper LOL...I gotta get. I appreciate the offer, I really do!

only if you cant see the TV after exhaling :)

I try to blow it away from the TV. Don't blow it straight up though or it comes down on top of your head, face and mod.

@hurricanegirl100 I'm vaping at 17W at this moment. Since it could work on a P3 isn't that tootling? If not, Provape better take that extra power off so they don't scare anyone :)

I don't actually remember what factory coils cost :). $3 for the subohm tanks? Yikes!

Please industry, keep making the old stuff that no one else seems to want anymore.

This is true. Prometey v1's are my favorites but you can't find them. I have the Micro Drip which is just like the Mini Drip but smaller. I wish it was a tank like the Prometey instead of dripper but the posts go up high enough to hold some cotton for additional liquid retention.

FDA-proofing is the only reason I'm attracted to building and I save old coils to rebuild plus I figure there will be enough warning to invest in whatever the best is on the market at the time regulations went into effect. The landscape changes too much to grab something now if I'm not interested in it for current use.

I would love a kabuki. I've got a fascination with anything produced by Zen. It's beyond my budget right now.

Huge plumes of vapor are a turn off for me. I have some set ups I don't use much because the produce too much vapor; set off smoke alarms, makes windows sticky, can't see, make me cough and don't contribute to flavor enough for the hassle.

I think sometimes people make assumptions about why I'm not interested in doing my own coils. #1 is convenience. If I don't have something ready to vape, then I risk grabbing a pack of smokes instead. It's hard enough to keeping batteries and hardware charged and working 24/7 and that's my first priority.

I have low tolerance for fiddling and fixing. I wish life was different right now but its not. Way too much of my time is spent on things that aren't rewarding, maintenance that I'm kidding myself to add on anything else because it won't happen. I don't think I'm alone in that other than most vapers in an online forum are going to be more enthusiastic about gear. Even the b&m shops don't seem to carry much for the intermediate tootie vape. I bristle every time I hear stuff I'm interested in called "beginner" just because it doesn't require fiddling. I do wire wrapping with jewelry so my ability to wrap a coil isn't my worry. I just don't want to anymore than I want to clean toilets.

There are only a handful of attys I can use on older gear which I still like. It's nice to have a variety of options including rda's like egrip and subtank, but there must be about 30 tanks with only subohm coils and 10x's that number of rta's only. Forget dripping. That's not on the table. Comparatively the number of tanks 1.3 ohm and up is pathetic and that's stupid.

I was really disappointed that isubs only offered 0.05 coils. That's way too much vapor.

0.05 coils? Is that ni200?

Have you tried the Aspire Triton? I haven't, but it seems to get good reviews for m2l with the 1.8ohm coils. I admit its been like 14 months since I've used factory coils.

What if it was something you could rewick in 2 minutes and recoil once a month? I can do the Prometey or Spheroid that fast. The Nectar is close.

Yes, we could have 2 years notice about the FDA hammer. That's true. And who knows what will come out in that time. However, I have some things I don't see myself ever tiring of. My Roses, for sure. They are fiddly though, but I love them so much. Even if I'm now vaping some things at 60+W, I just don't see myself not vaping them. I have laughed at posts that say once you subohm, you'll never go back. Nope, I like both. Once you start doing lung hits, you won't be able to m2l anymore. Nope, still do and like both. :). For me, its about flavor and that's pretty much all its about. Finding the best build for each atty to get the best flavor from it. How I get it doesn't matter; just that I do.

I want the best flavor but I've discovered if I have to make a choice convenience wins. Part of my issue is that I don't vape at home that much and don't have a dedicated area for vaping stuff. So that 2min needs to include dragging whatever I need out and putting it away again. I also DIY (which I do enjoy) which adds a lot of stuff.

We think alike on this one Aikanae, when it comes to working with tiny components my frustration threshold is really low. I do know how to make a coil, cut my rebuilding teeth on PT coils, but I hate doing it! The only appeal in rebuilding is knowing I can IF I have to. I can see the definite advantage of having much longer coil life using an RBA/RTA/RDA atty, but the wicking issues scare me off. I've tried rewicking some old PT coils with cotton and it was pretty much a fail for me. Too much or not enough cotton, flooding or the dreaded dry hit. I dunno, maybe I should get an RBA and give it a try. I'm not in any hurry to do so, although the folks in charge of knowing what's best for me are giving me reason to get my poop in a group concerning my future vapin' options.

My issue with wicking is about the taste of the cotton/rayon. Everyone says it is brilliant but it tastes like stale shower steam. I vape mints/menthols and you would think they overpower everything but my taste buds don't agree with cotton or rayon. Yet throw a silica wick in anything and I am good to go.

I only rewick one set of rebuildables (Sophia's) the rest are all factory made Cartos and coils and that's only because I have one eliquid that is finicky to wick. @Kim B. I want fuss free and something I understand and trust. I know there are duds but you can pick it straight away. They don't fail mid vape.

I have a raspberry limeaide juice that tastes pretty swampy with a cotton wick, much better tasting with silica. The main reason I use cotton wicked coils is because most of the manufacturers of premade coils I use switched to cotton wicking, and then there was the whole "better for you" thing too. It took me a while to get used to the taste of cotton, can't say that I really prefer it in most cases, although some of my tobacco flavored juices do taste better with cotton.

Took me a while to find them but I managed to amass a sizeable stash when I realised the heaven gift still had the anyvape version of BVC (pre cotton) coils. So I am set for a very long time. :p

The stuff does add up quick - I have a dedicated drawer filled with different bottles with different mixes. My work-at-home desk has 8 spools of wire, various 'experiments' along with assorted tools and of course RBA's and atomizers that ether are rebuilt and ready to go or need a rebuild.

I can now rebuild my K1, Nautilus and Atlantis atomizers. I don't worry about the Kanger ones as I have a bunch of loose RBA's to use for those tanks. The only real limitation (besides all ~dozen mods sudden death) is keeping a stock of nicotine laced base juice on hand. I only have 32oz in the freezer, I'll need much more for a 2yr supply.

As a vaping co-worker once said it - its a matter of time vs money. He uses a simple DIY VV mod with a tank that has only factory coils. Sure he gets a 'dud' every now and then but with the unflavored juice he vapes the factory coils last him at least a month.

Me on the other had got very frustrated very quickly with prebuilt atomizers. Much of my early toodle puffing was inspired by the fear of wreaking yet another one - even if they have a 6v limit 4.5v was the maximum I'd run my 1.8's at. Even if they only cost as little as $1-2 I'd feel 'cheated' if I did not get at least a week use out of one before it crapped out on me.

I'll have to admit - I've never heard of most of the stuff mentioned in this thread. Surely some pretty obscure stuff indeed.

I've decided to put a moratorium on buying anything until Black Friday. Someone brought it up recently, all those amazing sales, and I remembered how left out I felt last year, because I was too broke to buy anything. So this year, I'll lay off buying anything (not that I really need anything!), and then when it's Black Friday... "but honey, I haven't bought anything in SOOOOOO long..." ;)

I like buying new stuff, but I like bargains even better. I don't mind fiddling; I'm a housewife; I've got more time, most days, than I know what to do with -- why do you think I spend so much time here? :D

I've been using a cartotank again recently, but I gotta say... it really mutes the flavor. I finally got one of my Kayfuns back to good working order, so I've been vaping my blueberry muffin from that. If I could afford one of those Sophias or Diver things, I might give it a try, but they cost so much, I dunno if it's really worth it -- do they provide better flavor than a regular carto?

The ever-present strawberry & cream stays in the Achilles. :D
