Just a couple of quick observations. The HD 18650 actually hits pretty hard on a reg atty! On the Magnum atty it hit's so hard I'm having a hard time keeping the bridge wet enough. Also, I believe the atty needs to burn in a bit. The Magnum atty seems to be a bit wider than my other atty's so the cart is a bit loose. Hey, I'm trying to find faults here but it's not easy. :) I tried the CR123's and they work great too but I'm not sure they're really needed anymore. Like any new mod, you need to live with it a bit before passing judgment but I don't see how you can't love this thing. Another thing that I noticed was that the magnet is very small and I expected it to be larger and stronger. Funny thing is that this is so well made and fits together so perfectly that the magnet is more than enough!

Okay so Drew.... You KNOW I'm OCD! I have only ONE of these fancy attys for my Wood... Please let me know when you get, what I'm supposed to order, etc.

Are the new attys all 510 or other kinds as well. Honestly never really enjoyed a 510 before, nor do I enjoy 3.7 anymore - UNTIL NOW! This thing hits really nice, I'm really enjoying it and I didn't think I'd like the bulk of a box but it really feels nice in my hand. I have wood in my hand now :D

So I guess you can use other attys on it as well? What is a magnum atty, is that what we have?? I'm so confused, don't speak ohms or watts LOL! Loving the wood tho!

Okay...so what is low ohm #wise?? I want to be sure I order the right ones when they come in. I'm so NOT literate when it comes to tech speak!

I never thought I'd go back to 3.7 anything but I'm loving this thing at 3.7!! A LOT! I love the button too :)
Well, all I know is 510's so ...... here it goes.
High resistance 5.2ohm atty - takes the equivalent of about 2 volts off. Good to use with 2 3.7v CR123's. 22.2 watts down to 10 watts.
High resistance 4.5ohm atty - takes the equivalent of about 1 volt off. Good to use with 2 3v CR123's. 15.6 watts down to 8.
Regular 2.3ohm Joye 510 - @6v=22.2watts @5v=10watts @3.7v=6watts
Low resistance 1.61ohm atty - @6v=22.3watts @5v=15.5watts @3.7v=8.5watts
What's it all mean? Everyone has their own sweet spot. Mine is between 8-10watts. Also, when batts first come off the charger they are quite a bit higher than their rated voltage so these numbers are valid only after the batt is used a bit.

Pete - Thanks for breaking that down in a way that's fairly easy to understand. :) Hope you are enjoying your wood-piece as much as I'm enjoying mine. Don't worry Cos, your time will be coming soon...knock on wood ;)
