for those of you complaining of no flavor, two things

When I say dry hits, they aren't usually the nasty full own tear my face off dry hits that a dry atty or dry fluxo will give you. Its like there is a faint flavor in there, but mostly dry. So I suspect the people that are complaining of no flavor, but not complaining of dry hits, are actually getting some 'slightly' dry hits without realizing it. Try and pay attention to it and see if I'm right.

Also: Try sucking real hard 3 times before you hit your button. Even faster, give the tube two gentle squeezes before hitting your button. If you over do it you'll flood the coil. But the hit you get after a few sucks/squeezes will be the best flavor you've ever had. As bad noted earlier, you'll see bubbles flying to the top with a vengeance when you squeeze. juice is going to the coil, air is coming out, and you get your flavor.

If it weren't for the flavor I know these things *can* produce, I'd have given up already. It really is that good.

Just refilled the one I modded the wick slots on, overlaid a silica wick this time (first time it was cotton). I have it right next to a fluxo. Both have the same juice. Dry hits and barely any flavor on the pheonix. :::sigh:::

OK, I just finished my "inspection" of my problematic Pheonix. After comparing it to a second one that seams to be working as advertised. I didn't notice much difference. What I did find was that the wick is a bit smaller, as in it's not as "fluffy" on the ends. The coil part looked the same. Also, the center post was really wedged on there. I had to use a hemostat to get it off. I'm not sure if this is really a problem, though. I think they are supposed to fit rather tight. My guess is that the wick being smaller is probally the culprit.
I just had an idea, how would filing two small notches in the center post connection just above the wicks affect any wicking issues? I'm afraid it might cause to much flooding of the coil.

Grantah I dremeled the two notches all the way up, and it didn't improve anything. Also added a second wick, two separate occasions, two different juices, no help. The first wick *thick cotton* did cause a mini flood. The dremeling didn't cause any floods though.

There are people on this forum that say they got their C8s to work better with the filing though...

i have to say i was very sceptical that these would work out of the box. i watched steeljans video and that sold me. i filled the smaller phoenix (1.5ml) with bount hunter and waited approx 1 minute and started vaping. very nice flavorfull vape, maybe not quite as much TH as a boge 2.0 but i am only half ways through one tank. its a very sturdy and clean looking tank. i can turn it upside down when filled and im getting no gurgle, no leaking. i know its early in the game but so far this thing really really impresses me. dont change a thing!

cv I am getting some flavor it is just very muted now 1 of my 2 works good on my ego but not provari at any voltage which is odd to me the one I filled for my wife is the best of the 3 but it would not work on my provari @4.4 it did dry vape there right off and dry hit @3.7 after 2 draws but works excellent on her ego this is all very strange as I had same problem with the stone on provari it was dry hits but on ego it is excellent

I just recently got the bottom coil Phoenix, my video review is uploading (aerovapor on YouTube make sure you sub). I love this thing, especially if you stay around 3.7 which seems to be the money spot for it. Insane vapor, great flavor and TH, no leaking at all as long as you follow the directions correctly how to fill it with the needle and carto upside down. No leak at all. Total WIN!!!

2.6-2.8 filled 100%VG Boba's Bounty. 2.2-2.6 Dekang 555 100%PG. Going to put em to the test.

Ist half dozen hits with the thickest juice on the planet...nice, tiny bubbles noted, so it she's a wicking.

Both 1.5 mil tanks approaching refill. I am positively stoked. These...so far have been almost perfect.

As sit here typing this, I'm down to the last few drops in the one with VG juice. NO BURNT HITS, NONE! Good, no very good flavor. I am impressed.

I like how the top plug is concave so any condensation runs down into the coil and is not trapped there, or in a chambered mouthpiece.

Now I said almost perfect. The one thing that interestingly I found is the 2.6-2.8 with the VG is way to airy. The other is perfect. So I used a o-ring I had lying around from a old Stardust top, and use it to adjust the air vents to my liking by placing it around the 510 air slots, and move it around until I find a nice draw. Once I had this in place, the flavor really began to pop.

Try adjusting the airflow to be more restrictive. I did this by placing a o ring around the outside of the fitting to restrict it.

also bonny i did not create these, i was just a helping hand in getting them improved through the mnay months.

Oh, I know! That's what I meant. I know you guys had a hand in it, so I wanted to give credit where it's due! Still loving mine. Still got a primer taste, though. Haven't gone through a full tank, but I'll give it a clean after I do.

yeah but that still won't fix the problem I am having at higher voltage on my provari and I agree with you on the draw the 2
I am using are real airy but my wifes isn't airy at all it has a very nice draw

sparky the ego is 3.3ish volts right? so its giving it more time to wick

getting very envious of those who are having success, this is incredibly frustrating for me

yeah I believe you are correct about the voltage but I wen as far down as 3.4 on my provari and still had the same results and that makes no sense to me at all but then again the only clearomizer I have ever gotten to work on my provari has been the big vision grande tank now it vapes like a beast @4.4

Something kind of strange happened to me a bit ago. I tried the priming that was suggested, though mine was working fine. I just wanted to see what would happen :D Well, I started getting far less vapor for some reason. It gurgled a bit, I blew it out. Still wasn't hardly hitting. I pried up on the pin on my battery a bit and now it's hitting like it was. When I put it on my first battery, I had to lift the pin on it to even get it to connect. Kinda like the Stardusts were.

I ask because I just pulled mine up a bit more than half way, and I got 25 chain hits (75% VG) without a dry one....that's a first

Very gurgly though

Another piece of my puzzle though

EDIT: I can't see wick regardless when filled with juice, they're too short and thin. Can you see the metal gap/bevel?

Both my 3ML and 1.4ML Phoeni (plural?) are working really well. Nice cool vape. I am really impressed that the 3ML vapes as well as the smaller one.

The amount of primer is a little much in the ones I've tried, but they are very easy to clean up before vaping. I've done a small trim of the wicks, and they are just a tad bit better.

If you're talking about where the tube assembly seats to the base, yes it is flush to coil housing.
