Thanx my friend...
That ceramic wick I ordered from Omega, isnt due in until Tues. Not happy at all with their shipping. When it gets in, I'm planning on experimenting a tad to see what they will do..

Weird how ohms law goes right out the window with these..Batt life should be great in any event. I've put these on my eGo 18650 mod to take to work, and if I'm to slow on the draw, it will taste a tad burned too. Kinda have to hit it semi hard to not toast..Regular ego Batt, no problem...

The tube in the center may not be seated properly. I had the same problem and I found it was not seated securely. I cleaned it out of the box and I believe this was my error. After I fixed the leaking I was getting dry hits and found a post on this thread about the coil being set to low in the cup on some of the Phoenix. I took a small paper clip and bent it at a right angle on the end and stuck it down between the end of the coil and the cup and gently pulled it up a little on both sides until the wick was even with the slots in the cup. It works like a champ now. I believe the coil problem has been addressed with the next shipment. I hope this helps....:)
These things are great. Good taste, good vapor and easy to clean but they are new and have a few bugs but I am sure Chris and Danno will work these out.

Thanks so much, this definitely helps! Do you know if there are any videos out there showing this? I want to make sure I fully know what I am doing, seeing a video would be a big help. Thanks again!

be sure and do your homework - you will need to heat clean it with some kind of torch and there is a process for heat treating the material that is supposed to make it much more durable and less likely to unravel.

You are welcome. I haven't seen a video showing the lifting of the coil. I read about it a ways back in this thread. I was kinda leery about doing it but it was fairly simple. Once I had the paperclip inserted it was more by feel than sight. I can't see very well any way. Just take your time, be gentle with it and move each side just a very little at a time and you should be fine. I am heavy handed and I did it....

To add: read between pages 113 and 122 of this thread and there are several references to this problem.

I thought I had read earlier in this thread that you where addressing the problem with some of the Phoenix coils being pushed down into the cup to far but I searched and could not find the post. My question is has this issue been addressed and or rectified with the new shipment of the Phoenix 3 ml bottom coils (sleeved and unsleeved) that you all are expecting? That is really the only problem I had with them otherwise they are Bad to the Bone......:D

THanks so much, I'll give it a try! One last question, what's the best way to set the aside/store them if it has juice in it, on its side straight up, etc? Thanks again!

i definitely need to get some wick and try this. I like the ce3 until it gets to about 40%. At this point, the 2 that i have tried so far, will start to flood the atomizer and the vapor dissappears. Only way to fix it is place the pv upside down and vape the wicks dry. Problem with this is that the pressure has now been killed inside the tube and it will continue to flood.

yes! Wth! Exactly my issue!

So far, so good, with this mod. I am getting nice consistent cloud vapors now. I just hit 40% of the XL, at this point it used to flood and stop working. Thanks for the suggestion:)

Pulling up on the coil is a very easy process. Like VaperEd said, jut take a small paper click, bend it with a pair of pliers to a 90 degree angle and place it under the coil on one side. Slightly pull up and repeat on the other side. Now the wicks should sit flush with the slots and fill in the slots a lot better better when you put the rod on top. I also think, that pulling the coil up a little, will keep it off any liquid that might collect at the bottom of the cup. I'll post again when I hit the bottom of the XL and refill.

Bad, you are talking about all this new stuff, but no more mention of the top coil Phoenix? I love the bottom coil, but I miss the warmth of a top coil rig!

Is the Scorpion the top coil??? I'm confused....lol. I've tried everything else new....so gotta try these.

He mentioned in another thread it will be out in the next few days. At least I think that's what he said. I'll see if I can go find it.

I've used the Nextel ceramic XC-116 & XC-4 wick in many a different re-buildables, the only one it was ever good in was the IAtty1 because of how it was built. I think your going to find its a bit harsh in these. If I where you I would just take a small strand of it to start with and lay it on top of the coil, and I mean a very mall strand. You also have to take a torch and heat this wick until it glows orange and turns white again, and you should do that a couple of times, it has small ceramic particles on it and they need to be burned off completely, you dont want to vape these small particles there like ceramic splinters how this rope is made. The best ceramic to use is a ( solid Ceramic ) and very porous solid ceramic to wrap coils with, not this rope type, just my opinion of course.
