Made it out of a block of untreated 4X4.(Much THanx)..You wouldn't happen to be from the Great state of Washington (Walla Walla), would ya?

Yep been living in Walla Walla for the last 6 years anyway!

Someone should be making those holders and selling them. I would buy one or more because my desk is a mess along with my coffee table and every other table. lol

That is nice Zipper, much, much nicer than the one I made from 3/4" particle board for my atties, cartos and juice bottles. Going to have to try something like yours that will hold my odd size PVs in addition to all the other paraphernalia. Probably need a bucket handle to carry it from my PC to my vaping area. :)

Errol

Much thanx Errol & Tumble... Same goes here...Here is what it looks like zoomed out..pretty easy to make with forstner bits:

Cool. Born in Renton myself...Tri-Cities was nice...Hot & Desert conditions if memory serves. My Brother in Law was the civil engineer on that Nuclear Reactor ya'll have up there when it was built...

Must be the fill hole not healing sometimes after the needle is pulled.

Your probably right Big Screen. Notice how when filling for the first time, the fill hole is "pierced" for the first time?
It would be critical that hole self seals to prevent leakage. When I went to CVS and bought spare fill syringes, I choose 22 ga, which is actually to small to pull juice through. I was paranoid about making the fill hole too large, and thus loosing the vacuum hold....I think the blunt tip needle that comes with the kit is probably 20ga. Next time, I'm going to pick up 20ga, with 3ml capicity, and have both right sized rugged tubes and correct needle ga. I wack the sharp end off with a Dremel cutoff tool to make it a blunt tip. The longer needle helps fill er' up, IMO...

Yah, I think the filler needle is to short and causes a lot of problems because of the way you have to torque it it fill. Could be whats causing people to break the vacuum seal .

Did anyone else have trouble getting the center metal post out of their Phoenix to clean it? I've been battling with mine for the last 30 minutes....but in the video on the GV site, Badkola just taps it on the table and it comes right out. I've tried that, and tweezers...this thing will not budge. Any suggestions?

I take the plastic tube off leaving the filler plug in and just pull the metal tube out. I have done this many times with no leaking. The plastic tube comes off pretty easily and the same with putting it back on. I really like the ease of cleaning with these. Take less than a few of minutes to go through the whole process....:vapor:

I haven't tried pulling the tube off, other than just briefly. I wish they came off as easily as Fluxos. Aren't they glued, like Visions?

That's exactly the way I clean them as well. IMO the less one fiddles with the silicone plug, the better.

The stock needle is fine. Just bend the needle a little, and it goes in without the syringe getting in the way.

I would have to agree with vaperEd and Big Screen D,s cleaning method. The only thing I found is using the eraser side of a #2 pencil to reseat the silicone plug....I found that if I make sure that it is seated on the center post all the way down to the flared part, it helps to ensure a good seal in the tube. And the outward presure from the flang may also help in resealing the fill hole. Have been using the same 4 for a month now with no major leaks. These things are like the energizer bunny they just keep going.

Hey Rule62 in reply to your ? no the tubes are not glued. Just a pressed fit.

Great! Thanks. I prefer to remove the tubes when I clean. It's one reason I like Fluxos so well. The Phoenix looked more like the Visions type set up. With the Visions, it was nearly impossible to remove the tube without ruining the o ring. So, I haven't tried too hard yet with the Phoenix. I've been cleaning them with the tubes in place.

Phoenix tube comes off just as easily. Put it on a battery, wiggle and pull :)
