Be sure that the bottom of the atomizer is seated level with the bottom of the TANK...NOT the slot...The slot is slightly recessed and can cause it to leak some if in too far...Also I wouldnt recccomend leaving these in the car full... Temperature changes from air conditioning to heat can cause issues as well...I had one leak some the other day after it sat inside for several hours and went into the heat...Not alot of profuse leaking or anything but I did notice a sweat of liquid on my device.

Wonder where that was?

Happens in down here a fair bit wandering between out and indoors.

Just have to remember to have some tissues with you all the time. Or as the wife succinctly puts it "vaping has turned you into a 15 year old again".

Lol can't say much as she knew me as a 15 year old.

Mine is out for delivery today :). Heres to hoping I dont have any of these problems. Im worried since the main man himself said that these were tested 6months and he had zero leaking and now even he has a leaking unit, be it by temp changes or not, it just shows that 6 months isnt even long enough due to not making it through each season. It still sounds like a great tank, and for the money it should be ;)

Well I agree with you but I don't have or used any tank ever that doesn't leak from these same conditions or circumstances. I had another carto tank from an unnamed supplier that completely emptied out on a plane...Others (one of the most popular models) that leak all the time if they are tilted upwards, and one or two that leaks directly out of the cartos.
Also I have had reports that changing the atty can score the oring , but this can also happen with any tank if not careful or there is a sharp point on the atty or carto from the hole drill/punch...This is almost always aggravated by a dry Oring though and is hard to avoid...Thanks

Sounds fair to me Drew. Yes, all of my tanks leak a little but it seems out of the carto and these reports of liquid flowing from other places scares me a little bit. Ive never had to mess with an O ring on my other tanks yet.

Just so you know, the Cartomator I got from you guys is the best tank with the least leaking I own, which is why Im here now. Ive owned quite a few tanks. Its just that jumping on the first or so batch of anything that is a little risky. Even the $1,200 hi fi headphone amp I bought fairly recently already has a revision to it. Everything these days seems to get a V1.5 to V2.0 and so on at some point to correct early issues. Im crossing my fingers :) since Im not exactly a very handy or DIY type person.

Well said...I have a hard time explaining in print sometimes and just wanted to be clear on those points. Apparently some of the holes in the attys were a little ruff and when they were assembled (dry) they created a small tear/blemish in the oring...On the prototypes I was using puched and drilled attys. This may or may not affect the seal, if the oring turns into the groove it wouldn't make any difference at all... Thanks for the feedback and please elt us know how you like the tank when it arrives.

Ok, Im home :) These are my first 20 minute impressions only so take with a grain of salt.

Tank top was somewhat hard to get off, personally just the way I like it. I like tanks that fit tightly together, especially when you know they only get looser and not tighter down the road.

Once I popped the top off I had the tough decision of what to load. Well as it turns out I have a place for some Golden Gate Punch from Vapalicious which is a 70/30 VG blend at 12mg.

Filled the tank, seated the top with light pressure, rotated the tank upside down and all the liquid came rushing out.... no no no, just kidding, got it upside down and popped the top on and low and behold no leaking at all. I started with the rubber plug that came with it instead of heading directly to my favorite Super T drip tip. I took a couple primer puffs like in the video and nervously pushed the button on my Provari Mini at 4.2v. WOW, perfect hit! No break in needed here. This thing hits amazing. I ended up lowering the voltage to 4.0 and I think I prefer it there actually.

At that point I decided what the heck, lets try it with a drip tip. So I put on my tip and took a puff... PERFECT. Took a couple more and bang, a kinda dry hit. Hmm... so what I did was actually pull the tip back out (I really didnt like the look anyhow) and put the rubber back in to protect myself.

This time I knew the last hit was a tiny bit dry so I take a couple huge long primer puffs to essentially test out the other end of the spectrum. Indeed it flooded. The good news is that it only lightly gurgled for all of one hit. The next hit all was back to perfect. Ive been puffing on it since. No more dry hits. I cant be sure if something happened between switching tips but with the rubber on it has been flawless.

Ok to sum up initial impressions.

The satin color I love. Please dont discontinue this color, EVER!

The extra large top hole is strange. Im just going to have to get used to it and honestly I expect to and dont foresee a problem there.

Not in love with the look of the huge tip. Looks odd to me and with a shortly drip tip it looks even more odd. The lines just dont flow like I would like. Is this huge tip needed as part of the design?

I wish the hole in the atomizer was lower down in the tank. Not sure why it is so high, I do kinda foresee a potential issue there but that will have to come later after further use. Possibly it wont be a problem at all.

Im undecided on the slots at the bottom of the tank. I kinda just like to slightly remove my cartomator from the top of the device by sliding it up the carto slightly, with this one your stuck with unsightly slits in the bottom piece. Ok, unsightly might be harsh but my OCD is kicking in a bit.

Tank size is perfect for me. I dont like the larger tanks but this is completely personal. I guess I should say the lack of a larger size at the time of this writing is going to be a bit of a negative for some.

My juice taste amazing. I dont have the golden palate but I can honestly say it taste just as good as my HH.357 atomizers. I have not done a side by side yet but I can certainly say that the taste is very good.

Draw is not to loose nor too tight. Cartos to me end up with a tight draw long before there typical demise and I prefer a looser draw which this one has. It does have some pressure though which makes it perfect in my book.

Price is high. I think maybe too high. Hard for me to even mention it to my novice vaping buddy. Atomizers are proprietary and only in LR at the moment. I hope to see things improve on this front. I just wish I could afford the $9 each for the replacement atomizers. Is that really what they cost each or was I looking at the wrong ones?

Now to see how long these impressions stand up. Will it start flooding? Will it start leaking? Will I never get used to the giant tip? How long will the atty last in here before getting gunked up? Well stay tuned and Ill let you all know in about a months time.

So far though, Im a happy camper. If this keeps going the way they have I will be buying another in due time despite price and availability + the lack of a variety of working atomizers.

Thanks Inhaler, I can honestly say Ive been happy with all the products Ive received from you guys and Im a picky person that isnt afraid to speak my honest opinion. Shipping has been fast and the site is easy to navigate. Your presence in the thread is also a huge bonus. Happy customer here :)

WOW is right ...Glad your not too picky...LOL
Honestly I cant really disagree with you ...I was equally unimpressed with the wide top and thought it looked like a Nuclear Reactor (hence the name), but t it is a necesary design and does have a function...I also really wish I could buy and sell them cheaper but you have to factor in development, machining stainless steel time, polishing and or media blasting...These are made here in the USA also.
A similar and popular Stainless Steel, competing product that DOESN'T use atomizers is currentyly on sale for $60 without the atomizer.
Thats a custom made atty that I had to order over 1000 of to have them made for the umpteenth time.
Unfortunatley there are MOQs(minimum order quanities) on special made atomizers...I have several thousand that I cant use in fact here is one of them that I had special made and they dont work...
Jumbo Drip 510 Atomizers
I had to get creative with drip shields and drip tips to get SOMETHING out of them...

I will also have other compatible atomizers in the next 20 days or so (hopefully) which have been tested, designed specifically, and constructed to work with these tanks.
I have been working on these for quite some time and I am pleased so far. There will certainly be a learning curve and lessons learned with these but trust me this way NOT an easy task.
I appreciate your feedback and Thank You for allowing me to earn your business.

Drew, I appreciate your way of doing business. You addressed my issues professionally. I hesitate to talk about price at times. It really is one of those things where the market will decide if the price is right or not. I think some may hesitate because it is a new product and a real innovation. I truly believe that once these have been on the market long enough and hopefully if some reviewers end up with them (pbusardo, GrimGreen anyone) I think they will prove to be worth every penny. Just a little scary buying without knowing for sure they will work as well as they have thus far. Now that I know, I think the price is fair for a cutting edge product like this.

I will be spreading the word through the community about how I feel. With all my ridiculous nit picking this tank does two things well; hits like a freight train and flavor is fantastic. Thats what matters the most anyhow.

Crazy question here. I do like the atomizer so much more than a cartomizer. Is it possible that in the future you will sell the top piece only so I can convert one of my extra cartomators into a reactor. Is that even a possibility?

Yes it is a possibility but the bottom cap does require the slot on SOME devices so if your bottom cap is slotted (on your other one) it could be a possibility. Also the tubes are slightly shorter also. When , if and how is probably a better question for Cuseguy (the manufacturer) and Im sure he will check into this thread soon. I hope he is busy working on more though!
Thanks Again,
Drew
