I pulled out my BWB RY4 yesterday for a pleasure vape. it is still unique and very good. I only have about 6mls left. I hope Don comes up with a good replacement soon, before I run out of original to compare.
What is the color and density of Want2Vape's DIY RY4?
JB,
Back in the April review, I gave TFA RY4 Asian a B+. Now it's a B, since I'm trying to keep the DIY section simple by not giving pluses or minuses.
Personally, I like the top Custom RY4 concentrates a little more---TFA RY4 Double and Want2Vape RY4, then behind those Hangsen RY4 and HealthCabin RY4 (which are midway between Custom and Classic)---but that's just me. For a truly Classic RY4 flavor profile (bright, middle-of-the-road synthetic tobacco base that's doesn't stand out and is well-blended with caramel and vanilla into a balanced overall flavor) in a pre-mix DIY concentrate, TFA RY4 Asian is hard to beat. If you're a devoted Classic RY4 lover who's into DIY, RY4 Asian is a no-brainer. Really tasty, and a heck of a lot cheaper per ml than retail Janty Elixir or just about any other RY4.
I use rebuildable clearomizers with typically cotton or bamboo thread wicks. There are two main factors which seem to effect the life of the wicks. Overall vaping heat is one and the amount of particulate in a juice is the other. There is no dry buring of cotton or bamboo thread wicks. Such wicks used with juices heavy in particulate may a lifetime [or] as short as a day. Clear juices with mild voltages can last quite a bit longer...10 days or more.
I've not tried the others as I'm pretty happy with those two and have focused on an attempt (OK several attempts with varying levels of mediocre success) of blending a good RY4 from tobacco flavorings tobacco absolute, caramel (various versions) and vanilla (I like the TFA vanilla swirl for this part "I think") Whether I ever get it "right' has yet to be seen, so far I've been at least able to vape my attempts so no wasted flavors or nic base (YET).
Thanks for the reply, Bill.

Bill (and everyone else who may be interested) I "might be" getting closer to a decent if not great DIY RY4 ; I'm using TFA tobacco,(10%) TA mixed per instructions (small amount (10 drops from the bottle I have it mixed/diluted into which are tiny - tiny drops)- two different TFA Caramels, TFA Vanilla swirl, touch of maple syrup and (now get this shocker) Malted Milk (TFA) I dripped it fresh mixed and it seems promising,(actually quite good) - though time will tell after ample steeping if it is great or terrible LOL . It smells "divine" nice caramel/vanilla/tobacco scent from the bottle. (to my nose in that order)
Just thought I'd share what I've found at this point .
