The Really Big RY4 Report Card
The grades given for these retail RY4s are my opinion only. They are also current judgments and may differ from grades I gave in the past. So please understand that if you base a buying decision solely on this list, you might end up getting an RY4 that I like rather than one youll like, since my tastes and palate are unlikely to match yours perfectly---in some cases, not even remotely. Conversely, you may like an RY4 to which I gave a low grade.
Within each grade, the RY4s are listed in alphabetical order. This kind of judging is ridiculous enough without splitting hairs or nit-picking between RY4s within the same grade.

Mixing Percentages
The key to making good DIY RY4 from Pre-Mixed RY4 flavorings and concentrates is knowing how much (or rather, how little) flavoring to use. Flavorings require a higher percentage; concentrates work at lower percentages. Use too much of either and you will ruin the juice. I cannot stress this strongly enough. Start out mixing lean. Then---if necessary---add more flavoring very sparingly. Test-vape after each small addition of flavor. Keep in mind that the flavors will bloom with steeping---a DIY RY4 that seems to lack flavor when new may magically mature into full-flavor after two weeks, so exercise both patience and restraint.
When making a small bottle of DIY RY4 (6mls or less) using a very concentrated flavoring, adding even two drops to an existing mix can be enough to wreck the flavor profile. Increase the flavoring only one drop at a time. Remember: Less is best, and more is not necessarily better. Err on the side of using too little flavoring rather than too much! Hey, everyone. A quick question if someone doesn't mind... I have been trying to find a good RY4 concentrate or flavor and haven't really found anything I like too much. I bought the Hangsen both from Ecigexpress and Rtsvapes. Both are not marked as Essence and I do not see you mention the regular RY4 mentioned in the big list or anywhere else in the thread that I can find... Is the one they carry also Essence and do they even make a regular, non-essence line RY4 anymore? If so, maybe Ill try it again and play with percentages, steep more... I tried anywhere from 8 to 14 and its a very weak flavor... I'd love to try Nutzilla unfortunately its not sold in the states... Thanks.
As far as I know, Hangsen makes only one RY4 all-in-one concentrate. It may be labeled as "Essence" or not, but it's the same stuff. I'd suggest trying the FlavourArt RY4 all-in-one concentrate. EcigExpress sells it. So does RTSVapes.
You're in a good range right there, I've found the nicotine level has an effect on the amount of flavor you notice. IME more Nicotine not only affects how much flavor you get, but alters the taste/ Flavor Profile of the juice. I's start by giving the juice a two week steep, popping the cap every other day, slightly squeeze the bottle to suck in some air, recap and shake.
Youre verry right, i should take that into account but actually i was talking about percentage of hangsen ry4 flavor ive tried and it still seeming weak... was thinking today also that maybe i should decrease the vg from my usual 60ish per cent. I had completely forgotten that pg carries flavor better. 14 is about my typical nic level these days.thanks
Yes I should have been clearer, I meant the 8-14% for Flavoring, I just added my observations concerning Nicotine affecting Flavor.
Absolutely a great posting. I've tried all but two of the above, that's a suburb list. I actually think the MBV at a B- is ranked too high, a rare disagreement on the big list. Mr Vape RY4 is just phenomenal, closest thing I've ever come to an all-day-vape on a single juice. ECBlend RY4+HHV Heavenly tobacco would still rate about Mr Vape though, but it's very close.
Along with the recommended Volt RY4, gotta try that RW Vapors variety soon. Hangsen is a great juice too, and you can't beat the price. People are weird about Chinese juices but the Hangsen is something an RY4 lover can go to with great comfort, and you can frankenjuice it with just about any NET or RY4 like you would use Tabasco or hot sauce on food. Among RY4 lovers I've met, it's still under-appreciated IMO. If you're on a budget and love RY4, you can't beat Hangsen IMO. ECBlend RY4 would be the second best value IMO, at least among the ones I've tried. $14 for a 50ml bottle is a thrifty vapor's dream.
Killer Juice is a fairly new "juice only" company that uses "all natural extract flavorings" and ships in glass 15ml bottles. They had a super deal that I could not refuse, so I ordered a bottle of their RY4 for review.
KJ's Ry4 is a medium brown, and it has a thin line of seperation at the top. I assume it is a naturally extracted tobacco. The nose of the ejuice is caramel heavy.
This is a custom RY4 and could easily be a caramel tobacco. The caramel is divine! Very creamy and sweet, without being at all candy. It is almost maple in its richness. Unlike many of the custom RY4s, Killer Juice's tobacco compliments the caramel flavor. This is one of the best custom RY4s I have tried, and the best caramel tobacco I have ever vaped.

I'd like to throw in a recommendation for Mister-E-Liquid's RY4. It reminds me of Vapor Knoll's OurY-4 and that's a good thing. They also have a coupon code "VapeTV".
There's a reason why Mister-E-Liquid MrE's RY4 gets an "A" grade on The Big RY4 Report Card. It's a superb custom RY4. Thanks for the heads up on the coupon code for those who haven't tried it. I presume that's 10% off.
