Hey, all.. could anyone tell me the difference between janty's dk and elixir ry4? I'm leaning toward the elixir so I can mix pg and vg blend unless the dk is that much better. I have seen no talk on this thread of the elixir..I would love something like ave's RAF, my all time fave thus far and holy grail. I've seen that compared to RAF..
And by the way, I appreciate the info given previously on Indigo. I have been trying their ry4, not the classic, and have been impressed. It does seem very well blended to me and quite classic itself from my understanding of the definition... the santa sauce ain't bad either...
MisterC,
Do you know how to search within a thread? I didn't until recently, but it might be a newly-added feature, for all I know. It's indispensable for hunting down specific info in long threads like this one. Right above the first post on each page are five pull-down menus. The third one is "Search thread," which searches for terms within this thread only. I searched for "elixir" and came up with six pages of posts. Some of those are updates of The Big RY4 Lists, but yes---Janty Elixir has been discussed on the thread many times.
I've had all but one of the Janty RY4s---Classic, Classic RY4X (with stronger tobacco and a slightly altered flavor profile), Elixir, and DK-Series. I've never had Vitaya, and the 2ml sample of Classic I had is long gone.
Check out this post of mine from Nov 27, 2012. It goes into the history and differences between the various Janty RY4 versions:
post #3257: Three RY4s from Janty
Personally, if I were ordering just one, I'd go for Janty RY4 DK-Series rather than Elixir-Series, but that's just me. YMMV.
Both Indigo RY4 and Indigo Classic are darn good, in my opinion.
