For the sake of science(and frustration), I decided to make me a coil yesterday of the last of my 26g kanthal. I felt like the Rene was better and switching back definitely proved it to me, now it just seems like something is missing from my vape. Looks like tonight I will be rolling up another Rene coil and putting my bottom ..... back to work. Hopefully this time though I dont have the coil pop during the dry burn before I put the cotton in. It happened twice on sunday night hence the 26g kanthal coil. First time it was on its own and the second was my own damn fault, I accidently touched the base of my atty while moving the coil while firing. On a side note when a Rene coil lets go it is kinda spectacular flash as it dies

Yea, DA here got my timing off and pinched a little too soon after firing and POP

just pulled out a nichrome coil I spun up at work yesterday and replaced it with my standard 8/9 wrap of rene. I really don't think I can beat this setup. The 8/9 gives me a nice .8ishΩ, fast response time, delicious flavor.... I've learned how to make mt 3 favorite coils perfectly with it... The standard, the crack and the driver (sometimes a crack-driver)... I keep tinkering with other things, but at this point, I think that any further attempts to improve my vape will be futile.

Here is a pic of the coil I made last night, I used an 18g blunt tip to make it with 8 wraps, took me a minute to get the bend perfect at the top to the wire hole in the post, also it took a little poking to get all wraps to fire at the same time. Was getting like 2 wraps(seperated, 1 toward the top and the other towards the bottom), then just keep firing and poking and finally it would fire up all the coils to a flash like brightness. I was expecting it to pop somewhere since the last times it got that bright a coil popped, but not this time. Vapes like a dream

airhole is right at the base of the coil so all airflow goes straight over it

I notice those plans & the highlighting in the doors. So what is it your doing:

Door & hardware shop drawings?
Door schedule (drafting style)?
Pricing a change (GC style )?
Or none of the above?

I'm all of the above. :)

I also see that badayuss REO / RM2 - congrats bro.

Edit: upon closer inspection it looks like you're either quantifying electrical devices or drawing them (in acad) and highlighting the ones you've picked up :)

Those highlights denote the areas where his cat has peed.

Thanks, all of Xo's pictures of his Reo coils made me do it!
Simple, to the point, and effective Mod.
I like that combination.
Wish I would have pulled the trigger sooner.

Drawing then highlighting while counting.
Use a program called ImageForge with electrical icons I created.
Such is the life of a small business electrical contractor.
Work all day putting it in, then work all night getting more work.
Vicious cycle.

Got to get to bed now so I can leave town to work at 6 in the morning.

You'll have to post the first time you put it to your mouth and squeeze the bottle instead of pushing the button.

Nobody's ever done that before.

Thanks for the warning, but I will still probably do it.
Daddy said I was a disaster waiting for a place to happen!

Nope! Never!

I just did it (again) this morning....

You know you really need coffee when you try to vape by squonking, then change the battery... I'd be lying if I said I never did that as well!

Yeah, so my little vacation from nickel based wires is done. By way of celebration, I made another of my favorite wrap. Xobe-inspired "crown o' thorns". I used the jig that darkzero made to facilitate wrapping this tough little bugger of a resistance wire. It definitely helped, a lot. Got a real nice wrap; tight contact between coils.
