Kay has made herself at home in Reoville and I really think she welcomes the title of Reonaughty!!!
She will have to be Reonaughty 2.0 cuz you darlin are the original Ms. Reonaughty

Just spent what seemed like hours trying to register for school. Frustrated because it wouldn't go through. Finally read in bold letters that I can't register until ten days before classes start.
Nice little practice run.

When I do things like that I always wonder if they can keep track of what I have tried to do! Then I wait for an email stating "So you finally read the directions!"

My health teacher in jr. high school gave us a test once that had about 10 instructions at the top of the page. The first instruction was 'read all instructions carefully before beginning the test'. The last instruction was 'turn in this paper with no marks on it whatsoever', and then a list of multiple choice questions.

Only 3 people in the class passed that test. I was not one of them.

Good morning, Reonuts. Snowing here at God's front door, started around 1:00 AM and continuing. Not a big storm by any means, will probably top out at a foot or a little less. (We need 4 times that every two weeks to keep everything from burning to the ground this spring... and to give all of our wells a chance to recover.)

Prior to letting Dawg out this morning to do her business I informed her that there are certain ner do well's on the forum that make sport of her for their false impression that she is fearful of snow. Whilst mixing Peppermint Mocha creamer into my coffee she explained that she is not afraid of snow, (she's not afraid of anything except not getting her morning and evening biscuit), but rather dislikes getting her little feet cold and wet since they leave marks on the kitchen linoleum and living room carpet. (She is a very considerate companion who displays a natural aggression toward divorce lawyers.)

As she leapt off the steps of the back deck her keen canine powers of observation detected one of our many resident foxes and immediately gave chase. (A bit of early morning entertainment but not the most comfortable venue when your standing in blowing snow wearing only fuzzy slippers, skivvies and holding a cup of coffee.)

Posted below you will see empirical evidence of bravery in the face of inclement weather by Dawg, my faithful canine companion. When it comes to her, Uncommon valor is a common virtue. (Even without a foo-foo haircut.)

Sometimes she's a bit camera shy.

Guess I'm gonna have to brush off the truck before I go dancing tonight.

With my ADD paying attention and reading all instruction is a practice that I have had to learn over time. Most of the time I still jump ahead when I should not. But it is getting better!!!
Once I was making some flan. I had to melt sugar to make the base, which would later be the top. Well got the sugar all melted and was ready to put it in the pans. It looked so yummy I had to stick my finger in it for a taste! Yeah, you guessed it! Ended up with a nice burn with a huge blister! I couldn't get the sugar off my finger even under running water. It stuck and burned it good.
Now when cooking I tell myself that I must not stick my finger in to taste. I grab a spoon. Then just get a nice burn on my tongue!!!!
Ever put something in your mouth that is so hot it burns? Most people spit it right out. I don't my instinct is to swallow it quick. Let me tell you, it burns all the way down!!!
I am almost 60. I have just about given up on ever doing things right all the time. Hell, I have adopted the fact that it is just a matter of time before I do something else wrong!!!

Shovel!!! Have you been drinking this early... if I try to shovel snow I break like a china plate. She either makes her own trail through the snow to do her business or she has to stand in one spot like a garden gnome.

Short of Heather Locklear standing out there naked with a come hither look... and a bottle of 18 year old scotch, I ain't shoveling snow.

Howdy Fine REO Folk. Dropping in and then running. Lots of good chuckles reading. Sorry Scott, I had to come home to sleep. Finally got to sleep at 0430 and then up at 0600 (DH let me "sleep in") I did get an unexpected nap in from 2300 to 0100. Most excellent EGG ROLLS will do that to ya. So Scott, heading out with preaddressed padded envelope to, hopefully, shoot off the Hornet to ya.

Jen, what courses are you taking or your "track." You will love it. I went back for bachelor's in Nursing in my early 40's. (I was next to oldest. A Shutzhund frend, from mid 80's, already an RN, but wanted to get her BS, was oldest, in 50s. Jack, she had fabulous black GSDs.) There were few moments that I didn't feel extremely fortunate and privileged to have the opportunity despite it being the hardest thing I've done in my life. Physics and math were easy by comparison. DD was in out of State University, UofA, at the same time DH was supporting me at Baylor. I spent many years in the Dallas Community College system, in 70's, and late 80's picking up courses I needed for Nursing School. Outstanding Education. During my early 70's time, my roommate, and "significant other" was majoring in English Lit. I picked up several Lit. classes and I'm so glad I did. Very small classes unlike required English classes. New appreciation for fun reading. During class I did my hand sewing. Back then you could smoke in class!!!! Imagine that???!!!!!

Gotta run. Hugs and love, Feisty Alice

{edit} Baylor Nursing School was MAJOR No Smoking in late 80's/early 90's. (No cursing, too. I really cleaned up my Pottie Mouth and it has somewhat stuck.) I wore a patch. Before leaving for school I showered and washed hair then donned a head wrap and light robe over clothes, for driving in each morning, smoking my brains out loading up on nic. When I got to parking lot I dry brushed teeth and tongue, swished with mouthwash, and used lemon scented WetWipes to clean all exposed skin, hair, and up nose. No one ever suspected I smoked. What a frigg'n hassle!!!!

{second edit} I had one very special dress, back then, that I wore to weddings, funerals, and even my nursing pinning ceremony and graduation ceremony. Every single time I wore it, even if for an hour or so, I had to have it dry cleaned to remove smoke smell. I never put it into closet, after wearing, until it was cleaned. In fact I had a special closet that only unwashed, but still good for wearing, or yet-to-be-drycleaned clothes were stored, in case I needed to use in a smoking environment. Those days are long past, than doG!!!!

{third edit} From the very early time smoking I was so disgusted by the way I, my hair, and clothes smelled. Much worse than sweaty labor work clothes (honest labor smells). Most of my daily or multiple daily showers and hair washings was because of stinky smell!!!!

Granted I make it through registration, I'm taking Beginning Keyboarding, Medical Admin. Support, Medical Terminology and Medical Transcription 1.
Four semesters away from my third career.

Crap. Now I want Waterburger and Jack in the Box.

where I sit now there is no snow, no christmas tree, my sleepy dane-pitbull mix reminds me that is time to put my Grand in the bed and to close my eyes..
I'm sleepy..
what kind of Christmas will it be this year?
I'm working hard, well I always work hard, I'm working hard to keep my job in this truly messy land where I live.
I'm queuing to reach my office and queuing to be back home, my dog wags my smiles out, we have everyday a nice, looong walk and finally I can reach my home time.
I bought a couple of gifts this year, in the passed Christmases I did not have someone to buy for..what kind of Christmas will it be this year?
my heart is open again, some nightmares are behind my back, I'm willing to greet and to say hallo, I work hard, I love strongly, I care..

it's nice to share something, knowing that you are looking at your lives through the same vaper's cloud as I am..
I wish you all nice moments, warm smiles, the Christmas (or whatever holiday) you hope and peaceful dreams.
