Howdy Fine REO Folk. Dropping in and then running. Lots of good chuckles reading. Sorry Scott, I had to come home to sleep. Finally got to sleep at 0430 and then up at 0600 (DH let me "sleep in") I did get an unexpected nap in from 2300 to 0100. Most excellent EGG ROLLS will do that to ya. So Scott, heading out with preaddressed padded envelope to, hopefully, shoot off the Hornet to ya.
Jen, what courses are you taking or your "track." You will love it. I went back for bachelor's in Nursing in my early 40's. (I was next to oldest. A Shutzhund frend, from mid 80's, already an RN, but wanted to get her BS, was oldest, in 50s. Jack, she had fabulous black GSDs.) There were few moments that I didn't feel extremely fortunate and privileged to have the opportunity despite it being the hardest thing I've done in my life. Physics and math were easy by comparison. DD was in out of State University, UofA, at the same time DH was supporting me at Baylor. I spent many years in the Dallas Community College system, in 70's, and late 80's picking up courses I needed for Nursing School. Outstanding Education. During my early 70's time, my roommate, and "significant other" was majoring in English Lit. I picked up several Lit. classes and I'm so glad I did. Very small classes unlike required English classes. New appreciation for fun reading. During class I did my hand sewing. Back then you could smoke in class!!!! Imagine that???!!!!!
Gotta run. Hugs and love, Feisty Alice
{edit} Baylor Nursing School was MAJOR No Smoking in late 80's/early 90's. (No cursing, too. I really cleaned up my Pottie Mouth and it has somewhat stuck.) I wore a patch. Before leaving for school I showered and washed hair then donned a head wrap and light robe over clothes, for driving in each morning, smoking my brains out loading up on nic. When I got to parking lot I dry brushed teeth and tongue, swished with mouthwash, and used lemon scented WetWipes to clean all exposed skin, hair, and up nose. No one ever suspected I smoked. What a frigg'n hassle!!!!
{second edit} I had one very special dress, back then, that I wore to weddings, funerals, and even my nursing pinning ceremony and graduation ceremony. Every single time I wore it, even if for an hour or so, I had to have it dry cleaned to remove smoke smell. I never put it into closet, after wearing, until it was cleaned. In fact I had a special closet that only unwashed, but still good for wearing, or yet-to-be-drycleaned clothes were stored, in case I needed to use in a smoking environment. Those days are long past, than doG!!!!
{third edit} From the very early time smoking I was so disgusted by the way I, my hair, and clothes smelled. Much worse than sweaty labor work clothes (honest labor smells). Most of my daily or multiple daily showers and hair washings was because of stinky smell!!!!
