Went to the post office yet again today to mail Pietro his Christmas juice. Yet again the line of dimwitted procrastinators was out the door, yet again there was no place to park the forklift and yet again everyone refused to help me roll the drum toward the lobby. (I think they all know Pietro.)

Going to leave early tomorrow afternoon to go dancing and will stand in the stupid line for a reasonable amount of time... 2 1/2 minutes is more than reasonable. (You probably ain't gonna get your juice by Christmas there Bucky. Drink scotch, it will make the wait seem to go by quicker.)

Oh wow. I ordered a small bottle of Creme Brulee from the vendor Scott posted about (Crossroads) to try out. He just sent me an email telling me he also added a bottle of Vanilla Nut to my package because he says the creme brulee is an acquired taste and he wanted to also send something he was pretty sure I would like if I didn't like the creme brulee. How nice was that? Especially given I have never ordered before and I only ordered a 10ml bottle of the creme brulee.

I went to the site and copied it! Looks like fun to make...i like getting my paws in stuff, that's why i always made the meatloaf growing up,lol.

Ever put a meatloaf in the smoker, Kay? It's unbelievably awesome, it's the only way I'll cook a meatloaf any more.

Just be aware. It gets real stiff, real fast.

I will restrain myself... I will retrain myself... I will restrain myself...

Kay, Amazon is a great place to buy stuff. I have used it for years.

Yes, you can get free shipping if you buy over $25. BUT you must make sure all the items that you get say "Free Super Saver Shipping". You can go to the left on a page and mark to show only items with the FSS. Most items will come from different sites and some just don't offer the free ship method.

I have save so much buying from Amazon over the years. Just chose to buy items with the free shipping and made sure my total was over $25.

The Amazon Prime membership, with free 2 day shipping, on most items is a huge deal if you order a lot and/or heavy items. Usually the prices are not the lowest for "prime" but savings in shipping and fast delivery are a huge advantage. I've ordered items weighing over 100lbs with free 2 day shipping. Nerak, Karen, gave a link for VG or PG months ago that was a major bargain with free shipping. Only place I found it cheaper was from a farm supply store but you had to purchase a whole lot to get the free shipping.

We purchase most everything from Amazon. This week I got in Bitters. I've looked for it in so many stores and cant' find. Usually the only place I can find many things is on Amazon; especially obscure things.

I guided a friend to a pool sand filter, free shipping, and it was still cheaper than anywhere else.

WE LOVE OUR AMAZON!!! Have to watch out for 1-click purchasing, though. I have a small limit Amazon CC through Chase Bank. Every purchase builds up points. Usually before I realize I have $25-$50 worth of points to pay for something or use to pay bill. I just purchased an under sink water heater from Amazon, free shipping. It was cheaper than the last one I ordered and picked up at Lowes.

And their return policy is quite liberal. They pay shipping back.

I have a rinky dink smoker I need to dig out. Seeing that I can do veggies in it makes it more tempting. We don't do enough meat to warrant doing much smoking. Gas grill gets a lot of use, though, when our electric goes out (all electric), too frequently, and I NEED to boil water for coffee or tea. Past couple of years I've kept small, 1 lb propane heater, in kitchen cabinet just for coffee/tea water. We keep a large supply of 1 lb propane tanks because of electric going off so much and needing a little spot heat with catalytic heaters. (Baby wipes for personal cleaning. By the case at Costco.)

OK. I know y'all have been waiting with bated breath. The German Chocolate fudge is divine!!! Thanks for the recipe Karen. It came out great with the coconut pecan frosting. Takes a while to get stiff though.;)

That would make a great desert to take to a Christmas party, or give as a gift!!! So very easy to make and tastes so very good! I will have to try that Coconut Pecan frosting! I had looked at it but didn't know if it would work. The other frosting's are a different texture.
