Got a little story about Karma being a mother.

I don't know if you remember me telling you guys about my daughter, but she got hit by a taxi cab driver who fled the scene. (She's OK, wasn't seriously hurt). She got a picture of the license plate as he was driving away and gave it to the police. They told her that when they found him, she would have to come in and ID him out of a line up.

Fast forward a few days and the police call her and tell her to come to the station. She goes down expecting to ID the guy. They put her in a room and then come in to talk to her. They place a photo of a man on the table and ask her if she knows him. Well yes, she says. That's the guy that hit me.

Then they tell her that the guy was found later that evening, robbed and shot to death in his cab!!!! She of course is completely stunned. But not nearly as stunned as when they asked her where she was between such and such hours. Of course she immediately asks if she's a suspect and they say "Oh no, you're just a person of interest." Fortunately, she was at home with her roommates all night, one of whom is a police officer. They talked to him and verified it so she is no longer "of interest" to them.

Had the guy simply stayed put when he hit her and talked to the cops like he should have, he probably wouldn't have picked up the fare that killed him.

its really great got my VVG back with new button and a new trippy tip to go with it :) hows your morning going ?

Okay, so far. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and am taking things one step at a time. I'm cold though. Think I'm going to go walk through a hot shower to warm up a bit, get another cup of coffee and keep at it. Glad you got your mod back. I bet you're stoked!

It really makes me think when I hear something like this. Who knows what kind of guy that driver was. I think sometimes life gives us a chance to stop and do the right thing. If we don't then we face consequences. Some call it karma. I can only wonder who killed him and how their life might have been different if that certain taxi driver wouldn't have picked him up.

I have learned over the years to not complain too much if I am being detained and can't leave somewhere as early as I want. To many times I have seen an accident that just happened in those moments I was detained. Sometimes I wonder how much our actions change our lives.
