Not even gas stove or heater? What happens when there is a frozen tree that takes out the electric? I often wonder how people could cope without a non-electrical back up plan for heat... I don't want you to freeze to death!

-------------

GOOD MORNING ALL!!! I think our cold snap is over, it is a blistering 38 at 7 am here.

Good morning Valerie! We are warming some also.

When you live in a rented place it is tough to have back up. When I lived with my daughter and their family we had a generator that would run the furnace if electric was out. Also had a supplemental wood burning furnace that ran most of the time. It sure was nice!

Now I just have to hope the electric does not go out! If it was going to be out for too long I would find another place to stay for awhile. I would not just stay and freeze!

good morning everyone....getting ready to ship my vv wood to rob this morning...going to clean it up and wrap it nice n tight....hmmm...do i ship with the batteries in or leave them out....i know karen will know the answer to this:confused:

Remove the batteries. Empty the bottle and make sure to shoot some water through the tubing to clean out any juice. It is a good idea to put some wadded up paper towel in the catch cup to soak up any left over wetness. Also you can take the bottle out and put some paper toweling there also. Juice eats the finish off the wood. So precautions are necessary!

my heat went out very late last night...i have a generator that runs on gasoline...but guess what ...no gasoline at 2am in the morning...and NO HEAT....brand new heating system that is ALL computerized...that i didn't want, but was talked into....so i decided to shut her down for a half an hour ....turned it back on and it worked...too cold here to be without heat...learned my lesson to ALWAYS have gas for the generator....having tech come and look at heating system to see why that happened....hope everyone stays warm...well nutz i know YOU are

BTW... all yesterday when I dropped in to ECF for a brief look several times when I clicked to go to a thread I would get a separate full pop up window advertising different e-cigs. Anybody else have that happen?

Happen to me after I downloaded a new program and installed it.
Don't ask which one because I can't remember.

I asked about it in Feedback and sarge told me how to fix it.
And again don't ask what I he told me because I can't remember.
It's probably still in feedback still but you'd have to go looking.
