Good News, Good News,
Good News!!!

As some may remember, I begged, on multiple occasions foe help with fixing a couple of my ERA's. The lack of overwhelming response can only lead one to believe that not only does no one on here know how to fix an ERA but there is doubt that anyone actually knows how to spell ERA.

Having lost all faith in the masses, (did that word need to be started with an 'm'?), on the Reo forum I made the command decision to call in the A-TEAM.

A PM to Rob resulted in a quick and surefire solution to my problem. For those of you who use ERA's, (pay attention to the spelling), you will, at some time run into the same problem. The solution is very simple... I'M JUST NOT GONNA TELL YA WHAT IT IS! HA!

On a related note, I was having a bit of a problem with the ERA's fitting into the catch cup of my Koa. They were all so tight that you had to screw in the base first then put on the top cap that wouldn't seat completely... although they would still function perfectly.

Whilst fixing my ERA's by using Rob's super-secret solution I decided to tackle the catch cup problem. 60 seconds with a Dremel to the inside of the cup left me smiling and happily vaping away. (Small minds amuse easily.)

RATS... I just gave away one of my secrets. I must need more coffee.

Oh, good morning Reonuts. I was up well before the big red ball was very high in the sky, had to drive my granddaughter to the bus stop. It's worth getting up early for that.

Did I say good morning? Yup, I did already... forget the second one.

I did 8 years in Florida. Never want to move back. The humidity and heat together are just too much. And yes, it is prone to flooding.

I can deal with the temps here, I just complain!

I have to agree with you, Karen, heat and humidity do me in! I'd have to stay inside almost all the time!

Back again after an exhaustive search for the best news. The US once again puts claim to the Guinness World Records, nut to proud of this but at least she takes it well. BTW, she got me beat by 5+ feet (skinny .... here aka nutbutt).

:(I'm not even gonna watch that one!

When it is hot hot, I go out early if I got yard work or something else to do and the only reason I go out in the hottest part of the day is to get into the pool! :D

All those thinking of relocating because of the cold/heat. If you can afford the extra cost of living then Hawaii is still the best. We got no gators, snakes, porcupines, and only a few quitos. On almost any island, you want cool then just go up in elevation, you want wet then move windward, dry(?) then go leeward, nightlife(?) downtown or Waikiki. Cost of housing may shock you, but the pacific ocean makes a mighty fine pool. Loads of good eats too. No pro sports, but then you save $$$ by staying at home and watching the game on tv. You get to blend in w/ a multicultural atmosphere and mostly safe streets at night (nut like LA). But if yer "nasty", please stay home or go someplace else

Sounds much better than a swamp. About that cost of housing though, what numbers are you talking about for a little single old lady house?

Hawaii was great when the last time me and my wife were there vacationing and the only thing that shock us was the price of milk....$6.99gal. Everything else that was high I expected. The only thing I was disappointed was they wouldn't allow us to bring back any Maui onions. :(

Like anyplace else it varies. Decent 1 bdrm apts around town go from about 200k. Townhomes in central oahu start about 225k. Single family goes from 350k (really nut too good) and up Think medium about 600k. But rent for a decent 1 bdrm apt in town starts about 1.1k Decent being about 4-600sqft, maybe washer/dryer, maybe parking, elevator, trash chute. I bought a I bdrm apt a little outside Waikiki for 250k last year, 6 floor building, wash/dry, about 600 sqft, elevator, parking. Renting it now for 1.2k/month (to a relative).

Yep, if ya drink milk then I recommend a cow or goat. Try the Texas sweet onions, maybe nut as good but comparable. Reg gas about 3.90's at the low end here, right now. But be advised folks the neighbor islands cost of living is higher (most everything gets shipped from oahu).
