Thanks Mike, seems like a little bit more care than I like to do. Maybe if I ever get my smaller tank(s) up and running again. I'll research more on the subject (esp. RO and ph) before I start killing fish again ;)

Thanks again, I really appreciate your help :)

I find it so much easier to feed wild birds near the house. Love aquatic tanks but now days mostly if someone else takes care of them. I even gave away my precious Blk/white banded California King Snake He-she as I didn't have the time to take best care of him with attention and lots of trips outside, which he seemed to really get off on.

Chicken Stew is about ready. It's missing something but can't figure out what it is. DH had me add some very tender, at the very middle, chopped celery hearts, and that helped immensely. Maybe a little more curry??? It has cumin, curry, white pepper, something else I forget, some fresh ground black pepper, a dash of chipole chili powder, onion powder (afraid to add too much salt). What am I leaving out????

I added fresh corn, pimientos, all left over chicken and gel and some stock, milk/cream/corn starch. Chicken stock was infused with lots of fresh garlic and sweet Italian onions. Left over potatoes, onions, peas from last night.

It's missing something..............

You know, after cleaning out my Grand the thing is hitting like a freight train again. I'm actually not sure if I like the VV or standard Grand but its cool to have both working so well to compare. There is something raw and clean about the Grand. Kinda like a Boss 302 in a Mustang. Not so technologically advanced but still friggin kicks ...!! Sorry, I just dont often have the funds to compare stuff and I'm jealous of folks like Alice and Karen. They get all the good stuff!

A lesson to all you guys. See the love after I admitted to a woman I was wrong

(((((Alice))))). There's nothin wrong with a good debate so long as someone learns something in the end.

You got away cheap Darrel, my wife don't think like lovable Alice. As soon as I admit guilt, she wants Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Rolex, etc.

Needless to say,I've learned to triple check my facts first after goofing up a couple of times

Added sea salt but it does need more. We'll add to taste when served. Didn't want too much if liquid boiled down too much. I'm just starting back cooking after DH doing all for over 20 years.

It needs more curry, too, but have several blends so we'll add when served.

alot of times your ammonia may be high or nitrates and nitrites the same. a master test kit for fresh water is great to have. if your tanks are not being cleaned regularly.. like 1x per week at 30% your ph will drop slowly but thats not the way to get a lower ph,lol... i know from first hand experience. keeping tanks at optimum water quality is great but for most fish not a big deal unless breeding. pretty much all fish you buy in a fish store will be tank bred and can adapt easier to different water qualities than f0 or f1 fish (wild caught fish) but you do sacrifice alot of color as wild caught are spectacular. another cheaper fish with alot of color are kribensis. sorry to be long winded and probably bore everyone except nutz.

I used to be more diligent in tank cleaning than now, did 2x/week 30% water change long ago, but grown lazy over the years. So I understand the importance of the things you've mentioned. I think I have one of those master test kits, but prolly lost amongst the gear I've accumulated. Most fish here I believe are imported from Thailand because there aren't many breeders here 'cept for livebearers and goldfish. So most fish look pretty malnourished when they get here (prolly raised in large outdoor pools and fed just enough to make the trip here). But I will look into the Kribs, thak you
