Hey guys, I know these VV's have short protection. But what does that mean. Does the chip sacrifice itself like the varistor in a surge protector? Is it replaceable/resetable or does it have to go back to Maine?

It goes on lock down. You must know the pass code to initialize it. If you have the golden key you can re-start it. But those are really expensive. Better hope you don't have a short. I heard the pass code is like 30 symbols long and only given in Chinese.




O.K. it won't work if there is a short. Remove the shorting object and it will work.

Wow this thing really hits like a freight train now. I surprised myself by creating a fog bank right in my living room. Visibility 2 feet. And thank you Gil for the wonderful gift(s). Plus, if my friends want a PV I can give them a better one and would hate them to think I am condoning this one as something I would recommend. I accepted the app, but not the ability to post and then it apparently didn't post anything and said it was "unverified" and wouldn't give me a kit.
