I think making Reos is his only source of income so for our sakes he needs to sell them for enough to not only cover the cost of all the material and the outsourcing and his one employee, but also make a decent living. And they're SO well made that each one will last a lifetime and longer, so there's not a huge turn around in that respect. I mean, it's not as those we're going to NEED a new Reo every few years cuz they fall apart and die
( tho we all sure will WANT another Reo!). Bu what he makes reminds me of years ago when manufacturers of just about anything made products that they prided themselves on lasting at least a lifetime..or two or three... and they also stood behind their products. Rob, with his ethics, is now a rare breed.

edit: And I griped in the beginning about how " expensive" they were:facepalm:)

What were you doing up so late, Karen...especially an early riser like you? The computer is back to working (for the minute:p). Mike, I want you to know how much I appreciate your work for the public schools. No job in them is as easy as it should be, but two grandmothers, my grandfather, two uncles, my aunt, my mother, and (very briefly before my Leave) I have taught in and believed in the public school system. Don't want to get too controversial, as I know that there are great folks teaching at home and other private alternatives, but I'm still a pretty hard-core supporter:). Michelle, what do you teach?

I teach 4th grade. I got a wild bunch but I wouldn't trade them. But some days I have to say, "Well I am never bored at work!" :D

REO in crisis. My poor VVW is lost. I've looked high and low and can't find him. On the verge of a breakdown. Please send some good vibes as I rejoin the search.

As i would tell my kids when they lose something.

It didn't grow legs and walk away so its here you just have to find it.

check under the newspaper, by the remote.

Last time I lost a PV, I had to sit down, take a deep breath, close my eyes and think about my day. I found it in a room I rarely go in, right where I left it. But this is from the person who couldn't walk for a few weeks and managed to lose the remote within a foot of myself so...
