When did you live in the Bay Area, Karen. I was in Hayward for over 20 years and have been in Alameda since '94. I got tired of my commute into Oakland every day so I jumped at the chance to move to Alameda.

I might have to move though. My landlord keeps going back and forth about selling the property. If he does then I know the new owner will jack up my rent big time, seeing I'm paying way below market prices. If that happens, I'll be moving back to the Hayward / Union City area to be closer to my grandsons. It will be a pain though because I will need to find a place that will accept the cat and dog. :(

Thank you Jack. Saving your IM to sell on ebay. :D

Have a great wednesday EVERYONE!!

cappy!!! It's SO good to see you here! Sounds like now the nurse has two patients!

I have an idea...get her a male nurse...one that looks like Pietro..that'll perk her right up.

And if the one she has now looks good, you should perk up...oops, let me rephrase that....

you should feel better in a hot min...oops... in a regular minute...

Moved there I think in 1960. Left Cali in 68 I guess. I know I was in 2nd grade there. And left when I finished 9th. Funny that I can remember streets we lived on. I know my Grandparents lived in Richmond. We went to San Fransisco and saw the hippies! My uncle lived there.

Good Morning, Reonuts

WOOT-WOOT-WOOT
I GOT A NEW TOY
YIPPY!!!

As with many Reonuts, my collection of mods is becoming a bit unmanageable. Cursed with the desire to vape six or seven different juices during the day, and switching from flavor to flavor a few times an hour my neurotic habit resulted in me having to keep a rats nest of mods stacked next to my computer. Invariably either I, or Dawg would bump the computer desk or I would reach for my coffee and two or three of the mods would take a high dive to the floor. So far only one Trippy Tip was broken, (which Bert so graciously fixed), but I've broken several other cheaper Ming style tips.

Being the highly trained investigator that I am, (have I ever mentioned that before?), I deduced that there was a problem and set out to find a solution. As one might expect, (keeping my advanced training and natural sleuthing abilities in mind), I was successful in my quest for the ultimate mod organizer.

I present to you. THE DESK CADDY... or what ever the hell else you want to call it.

(Yes, yes, I know, it's not sitting on a desk but I couldn't figure where else to put it to take the pictures... sue me.)

Our Reo forum veterans will notice, (and much to Nutz's dismay), that my world famous, and highly coveted Koa, Reo is not safely tucked away in the desk caddy. The slots in this particular model are just a hair, (1/16th of an inch), small to accommodate Woodvils. I have already spoken to the creator of these desk caddy's and he is not only making the slots bigger, with room to spare to avoid any possibility of rubbing for Woodvils but is also in the process of designing a five, six and eight-slot caddy for those whose mod collection mysteriously keeps growing. (I blame my mod collecting addiction... ah... obsession... er... hobby, on Nerak and Feisty Alice. Just another example of women costing me bundles of money.)

Although it may not violate ECF rules by posting the contact information for the maker of these mod organizers I don't feel that it would be proper to do so on Rob's forum so if you're interested in learning more about these or would like the contact information just send me a PM. If I like you I'll cheerfully reply with the information. If I don't like you I'll still reply but I'll do it with a snarl on my face and malice in my heart. (Unfortunately there's no one around here that I don't like so I won't be able to use my one and only talent.)

Oh, almost forgot, the holes in front of the mod slots are used to display juice bottles, tanks, RBA's, etc. The front row of holes are used for displaying drip tips... especially Trippy Tips. (I added that part especially for my little buddy, Pietro and for Bert, the tipmaster at Trippy Tips.)

Note: Today is our third day in a row of snow. As much as we need it it better not interfere with me going dancing tonight... I'll get really testy.

Did I say good morning? Yes, yes I did... nevermind.

Jack

 You always get the cool stuff. :)

Some day my friend. :)

It doesn't have to be KOA. It could be oak or maple. I would so make one if I could. But my wood working days are over. No more running the circular saw, router, or my favorite the saws all (reciprocating saw). I can still use the drill though! As long as it isn't too big a job.

I donated my power saws to my son-in-law when I moved. I was told by my daughter that I could not have them anymore. Guess cause they were not around to "watch" me. Sucks getting old.

You left before I moved to the Bay Area. I was stationed at Treasure Island in '69. I was married to a local Hayward guy that moved there from CO when he was 16. I met him in Barstow where we were both stationed. When he was discharged went home to Hayward and I asked for a transfer to TI.

All joking aside if you had one for all your REOs it would be magnificent.

ALOHA STATE
G'day fine REOfolks

Looking at buying some Kanthal D 29 gauge wire to use on the reomizer 2.0. I think that these are called ribbon wire in some circles. Anybody see a problem using this or any good experiences? Seller doesn't have 30 gauge :(

Ray, so sorry to hear that you have the flu. Get plenty of rest to build up your defenses and glad to hear you able to get some help for Carol. Sending to both of you and my friends in the lounge my very best ALOHA :)

Jack, looks like you could easily alleviate some of your clutter problems by gifting me that koa woody you got. Hell, I might even give ya a case of water for it. Think of it as helping out the unfortunate (still giggling about yesterday's male appendage remark of yours) :D

Scoot, what happened? Strange that you got up before me ;)

Some of the guys in the FaceBook Reonaut group have used the ribbon wire. They seem to like it. They didn't state any problems with using it in a RBA on their REO's.

Thanks Scoot, they are good pricing but I wanted the Kanthal D wire, to test out :). Listed here Resistance Heating Wire 29ga 33' 28mm 10M Kanthal D | eBay. Since the second one ships free might be better to get more but curious if anybody tried them and had any bad thoughts

Thanks Karen, I'll take that into consideration when I order :)
