Had a little surprise today. My Direct Supervisor was here and presented me with the title "Employee of the Month". I got a water bottle filled with all sorts of candy!

It was a nice gesture and I appreciate that someone took notice of my work.

Made me remember all the places I worked and ended up with the same title at some time. The awards came with various gifts or privileges.

Must say I would rather be able to stay at home and not work! I guess these little things do make for a happier day. A much happier day would be a paid day off!

Way to go Karen!! I'm sure that you are deserving of the award and maybe even employee of the year if they have one like that :)

hahaha i edited my post and replaced it with "val" at the moment before you clicked reply. But in your response, I'll go with benedryl from now on because this stiffness I feel "the day after" is always linked to tylenol in some way shape or fashion.. I wouldn't say muscle spasms, I'd say more of the feeling you would get if you fell asleep on the couch by accident. So for aches and pains I think I'm gonna try ibuprofen instead, and benedryl for snoozing

Need to step in and say that one benefit of the ibuprofen is it's an anti-inflammatory. Good for muscle strains. The diphenhydramine is used in many products to help you sleep. Much cheaper too if you split what you take for each affliction. I buy huge bottles of diphenhydramine usually 500 caps. I have to keep it around for allergic reactions. Also use it sometimes for a sleep aid.

Be careful in whatever you take. Notice any side effects. Reactions to medications can start at any age and time.

Last year at work i won employee of the year, and a decent prize (pfft to candy) - a month's salary! I was surprised because, although i work hard, i am often extremely blunt with some of the salesmen.

That's what happens when salesmen's dreams collide with production reality. There was even a fairly believable story that i had told one of them to just f-off, although i deny those were my exact words!!

Now that is quite an award! With a bonus that really makes you stand up and notice!

You were very fortunate to work for a company that believes in the reward and acknowledgement program!

ya here it is

at least i think its a truestone :)

Yep, it's TruStone, hand-turned by Smackley of smackleycraft. I swapped that one with ya for a coupla glowy pawns!

TruStone tips are very cool - the material is much like what they make high-quality poker chips from, a clay and plastic composite. Nifty stuff, but glass is better :)

I have been happily vaping away for about 8 months on 18 mg liquids i make - but today i decided to lower it a bit to 12 and see how that goes. I buy 36mg liquid - and that's why i chose that level - don't need a calculator - it's like falling out of bed!

It's been fine - HRH was worried i'd go screaming off and buy a pack of Marlboros - but not a bit of it! My intention was to pack in the ciggies, not the nicotine and that's still the way i think. So far so good.
