Yep, bedtime here. I usually don't even go to sleep until after midnight. But since we had to put our old dog to sleep, the young one has been allowed in the house a lot more. DH doesn't want another dog to keep her company, and she just seems lost. So I bring her in a lot more now since I am able to walk better.
Our dogs were always outside dogs, and since I had no strength or balance couldn't risk them knocking me over again, (I split my head open once about 2 years ago since the old girl just had no manners and would just run me over). The young one is coming along nicely, she seems to realize I am a gimp, and knows not to run or jump around me. I was able to give her a bath a few days ago after DH went to sleep, the first time I ever could. She woke me up to go out, so I won't get into trouble with DH for leaving her in.

Ms. Becky, please it can't be AM yet, and you are only 70 miles away! And it seems I too am pulling an all nighter, against my will I tell ya! I just took a benadryl so maybe sleep will come soon? If not, I may have to take another 25 mg.

If there was a rooster in my neighborhood I would frickin move back to the condo where there was peace and quiet! The sun isn't anywhere near coming up yet...
ETA: on 2nd thought, the rooster wouldn't last long. The raccoons, coyotes or maybe even the birds of prey would take it out for me.

Mornin REOville! It's Friday and I am hoping today is MUCH better than yesterday. Yesterday the bank called, my debit card had been hacked, but they caught it within a few minutes and are reversing the charges, but I won't have a new card till next week so I have to remember to take my checkbook with me or get cash at the bank, what a pain! Then I had to decline 3 files yesterday. I haven't had any declines in a month or more, and then 3 in 1 day. I hate that. Then I talked to my ex, he is going to come over today and get my new smoke detectors up for me, so that was good news, but he told me his brother, who has cancer, was told by his doctor that he has maybe a few months left. My ex's brother is one bad excuse for a human being, but I care very much for my ex and he cares about his brother, so this is difficult for him, all I can do is listen when he needs to talk, but I guess that is something. Hope everyone has a good Friday.

Gravy and homemade biscuits were a weekend deal growing up. Mom never could get the hang of making gravy, so Dad taught me when I was still too short to reach the counter without a step stool. Still remember that every time I make it.

Awesome. About ten years ago, I started dry toasting the flour before making my gravy, took my breakfasts to a whole new level.
