Heck, whether old growth is renewable is a moot point and long past being of interest down here. Ain't nothing but 2nd growth to log down here anymore--at least on this side of Washington.

we have a little old growth left it looks like a lot from the ground but from the air it well looks smaller some of our second and third growth is a pretty good size though. Don't know your history of logging but we've been doing it for a long time here its a shame to see how corrupt it has all become especially shipping raw logs offshore but maybe one day we will figure out its best to mill and process here as we have the facilities and the people. doing it at home would force the offshore buyers to buy our processed lumber prods and greatly benefit our economy and people

I do believe many of our companies are owned or co owned by American companies. Some game people have started co-ops to run some of our mills that have been shut down they seem to be thriving real well. It's good to see

Evening (for here) Fine REO Folk. I've been way, way, way, way, too busy and pooped in between busy. I want to apologize for not being on. I've only read a couple of posts to see that Mike is back on for a bit. Love and Miss you Mike and glad life is being good to you.

Scheduling issues with neck surgery, which we had scheduled for next Wed. but doc doesn't do Rhizotomies at that Surgi Center so working on it now. Have scheduled for July 5th, at clinic near here, but not sure if neighbor will be in town to take me and pick me up. So may have to hire a semi-skilled nursing aide to take me, wait, bring me home, and maybe stay here overnight or two. We just can't take the hit of DH not working TH-Sat as that's our main income. My Doc only at the Surgie Center near me on Thursdays and DH is out of town Mon/Tues and Thur-Sat. My Doc is in N.Dallas Surgi Center but only Mon afternoon but DH leaves for work, out of town, around noon. My Doc in Surgi Center, in Dallas, Tuesday afternoons only, but DH leaves for work noon that day, too. I asked if I could have it done in hospital and stay overnight so I could then drive myself home the next day but a big NO. Possibility of Sissy Dog flying in as she had female surgery day before yesterday and has offered to come here........

I just got off the phone with Sissy Dog and she can come but only for next week so I'll see if they have any openings at the two Dallas Surgi Centers tomorrow morning for next week. She's going to drive from Vegas but has to be in LA on the 18th. I offered to fly her but she wants to do a road trip in her car. Silly Dog.

We talked for a long time so need to get some work done.

BTW..... The Modified Old Woody I got from Harley, that he got from Technonut, is Padauk. For sure. I have 2 Padauks, 3 Purpleheart, 2 Walnuts, 2 Jaboba, Bloodwood and a Bloodwood door for a Walnut 18490, among others, and there is no doubt in my mind that this is anything other than Padauk. The Modified Woody doesn't appear to have ever been Howard's in side so it is a little lighter in color than my two inside but the wood texture, grain, and color can only be Padauk. For those of you who have those woods to compare you will see what I mean. No time to take pictures. But one set of picutres, that were on ECF shows the wood to be more brown than it really is and one set of pictures shows the wood to be more Purple than it really its. It's identical, in all ways, to my two Padauk Woodvils, and in no way close to Purpleheart. It is darker on outside than my Padauks but it has had much more time to darken from UV exposure on the outside. Inside is the for sure give away.
