@davelog, have you tried any 0 mg vape in your chalice yet ? i'm having to redo my DIY recipes due to TH in my ERAs
my cinnamon is almost painful in the TH and peppermint too

Nope. The only 0 nic I've tried so far was in a pre-filled carto. I should actually try putting together an all-vg 0 nic juice this holiday weekend when we get back in, it'll be a good opportunity for me to test thinning out all-vg for when I get my next batch of nic, this time in vg.

What Ohms do you have the ERA set up at and where do you have the air hole placed at on the cap compared to where the Wick and wire is at.

I can get a Killer TH to a nice smooth vape just by changing the air hole location.

all i can say is that my current juice in TH is like a banana pepper in a 306 but the same juice in a ERA jumps to habanero heat in the morning its a real wake up if you know what i mean

i have the coil at 1.4 and the airhole right at the coil. using 10 mg nic 50/50 mix with 20% TPA cinnamon redhots on a reo grand at 3.7 v

Hmm not sure why you would get such a harsh TH with that set up. I could be the TPA but not sure.

You got me on that one. I know that PG can give more TH as well, Try using a 100% VG that my mellow your TH out or going to a 1.5-1.8 coil.

What wire are you using and how many wraps.

I would think you could adjust the atty to work with the juice and not adjust your juice to work with the atty.

I have it set up at 1.3 using 18mg Havana Gold 100%VG 3.7v on the Grand.

i am using 3 wraps of 32 awg kanthal on a simple 3mm loop wick. that gives me 1.4 ohms every time.
i really dont mind going to less nic and less flavor. reducing both will save money and be healthier IMO
its just strang that big of a jump in TH with juices i've used for many months

What kind of drop off in your battery are you getting with the 1.3? I have a 1.4 on a Standard woodville. 7 wraps of 30 Kanthal. More surface area and low ohms. I thought about going lower but worried the battery would go below 3.7. Right now it's exactly 3.7. That's my chalice setup. With thinned VG juice it's a very smooth vape with lots of flavor and a nice long draw of about 10 seconds

I hear you,

What I have found from playing with RB attys of all types that they do not react like a standard atty. 1.5 Cisco dose not compare to a 1.5 RB atty. Not sure why but it always seams to be hotter and more TH.

32 is good wire. If you get the chance get some 28ga you will get about 5-6 wraps to get to 1.4 this will increase the wire surface area and make for a smoother vape with a ton of vaper.

I am getting about the same as if I were using a Cisco 1.5 maybe a little less, My battery's are old so that could be a factor.

I get about 4 ML of juice out of my IRM 18650 1600's but like I said there old and I need new ones.

I do have some 30 coming and look forward to playing with it. I am using 28 right now with 5 wraps I think for 1.3
I am also using Dbl 2mm silica wick

NOTE: make sure you check the the screws every once and a while if your atty seams to drop off. Yesterday in my Challis set at 2.5 I could not get it to work like it was. Checked it it was at 3.3 tighten the screws and it was back to 2.5 :)

Yep, if your making Low oHm set ups 30 or 28 is the only way to go IMO. :)

32 is good and it can be done but I use it only for 2.0 and higher set ups on our VV REO's

You are going to love the 30. Much easier to make coils with thicker wire. It also seems to stay off of the wick better and not choke it as much. Plus the tons of wraps helps with vapor production.
