That sounds like a BIG move of shop related equipment. I only have moved once (not counting during my single days from furnished apts). It was from a 5 room home to my curent 6 room home and tho extremely costly we paid for a professional moving company to do everything from packing to moving and unpacking. It was hard on the wallet but it was nice to order the movers to put everything where we wanted and to clean up the mess.

Good morning, Gil
Ya...I was just thinking about that. Maybe we could hire movers to do the big stuff and we just pack up everything else and take it in my truck & trailer. I'm glad I decided not to sell them. I don't owe anything on either of them...so selling them would be stupid, I think. I've never owned professional grade equipment before, so it never really crossed my mind about what to do about moving them. I've been buying tools for Wayne over the last 8 years for birthdays and what not....and while I will never regret doing it....at times ...oy.

Yeah movers for that heavy stuff sounds like the way to go. You and Wayne at your age can save $$ by moving the other things yourselves. I hope your new home will be as beautiful as your current. :)

Thanks, Gil :) I hope so too. It hasn't been built yet. We're in the early stages of information gathering and planning. Site has been picked out and measurements taken...estimates are starting to roll in on some site improvements. It's going to be a lot of work, as we (family) will be doing a lot of it (site clearing, foundation, access, etc.) We're not wealthy, so it will definitely not be the same as or as big as this house we're in, but it will be ours...and that's all that matters. I'm done with renting. :(

Wayne might be, but she certainly ain't old!! Still, if you can get other folks to move heavy stuff, you can stay youthful longer!!

Good morning, Terry :)

Wayne and I are planning on being moved by this time next year...and for the first time ever, I'm actually anxious over it. We have so much stuff to move. I have a truck and trailer that will help, but that's a lot of trips to make...so we'll end up renting a big truck to move the majority of our furniture. My worry is over our physical capacity to it. I know we're not nearly as energetic or strong as we were the last few times we've moved. We've been in this house for over 8 years...so it's been a very long time since we've done it.

But I look forward to it being done. Hopefully, if all works out well, it will be our last move. :) Congratulations on being done with it!

I don't know where all this stuff came from lol. We moved from a very small apartment into a much bigger ranch like one. I was unpacking some things and wondered to myself, how did we fit all this stuff in that little place we had lol. Moving has two sides to it, a adventurous side and the omg why am I doing this side.

REO has some incredibly unique designs. I can definitely see these as a benefit to any retail operation.

Hi Rob

Glad you decided to join in. Im sure having a few REOs in your up and coming retail store will be a big hit! I hope all that info from the PMs and pics wasn't overload. Just remember as always anyone here will help! Good luck on your business.

Hi everyone! What a day today! My relaxing was sporadic and minimal!

Talked with family and got a moving date set. I am planning on the 25th. So, lots of things needed to be set in motion. Got my internet and phone set for the move/switch. Got a reservation on a U-Haul.

The date is cleared for my son-in-law and my son. They are the movers of all things BIG! LOL.

My DSL was wondering why I was getting so hyper with trying to get things done. Then he realized the date only gives me next weekend to pack before the move! Yeah, I realized that and started to go into panic mode!

We did get a lot done this weekend, but looking around I see next weekend being very busy. It is tough being away from home for three days then coming home and jumping right into packing.

I just have to keep straight what I will need to leave here till the last day. Those things and what I will need for the work week once I am moved must be kept readily available and not get mixed up on moving day. It is always a concern with at least 4 of us putting things in different places.

Did I say I hate moving? I really do. Even with my knowledge of the best methods it is a mental and physical challenge.

REO's will travel with only me. They are one thing that will only be packed and taken on moving day. I am thinking I will keep them in my Mariner till everyone leaves and I am there alone. It will be a sure way to know where they are!

Sorry for rambling. I am kind of reeling with all this happening so fast.

Am I to understand that the day might come when you could walk into a brick and mortar store and buy a REO? How cool would that be? Beyond simply cool........more like incredible! I just can't begin to fathom how great that will be.:)

WOW Karen :D Im with you in spirit Im sure you can do it wife and I are down to deciding if now is the time to buy a house we both really like the one i posted the link to Id rather have a bigger yard but it just means more money

That house was a beauty Darrel! But it really does pay to look at others too. If nothing else it shows you that your favorite is really the best for your family. Sometimes you find one thing in a certain house that makes it special for you. A huge decision for sure when you are buying.

We've looked at many believe me. This is most to our personal tastes with less to no work needed for comparable money. Now just have to see if we can get all the finances lined up ASAP.

Rob PMed me asking about REOs and how well they worked. As a matter of fact it was his notification I was struggling with yesturday about a pic of the Nebula in my album. He exploring his options and I suggested having a REO on hand wouldn't hurt. Not sure if its a brick & motar or a online store. Maybe if he returns he can specify.
