I have lemon juice and I have apple cider vinegar. I'll try those rather than venturing out to the store - don't want to scare anyone with my beady red eyes. It's also windy outside and that really sets off my eyes to leak. I did warm compresses earlier this morning and that did help some.

Thanks, Legs! I did a google search this morning and couldn't find any links for home treatments. You and Jen are great.

Happy Sunday everyone!

Anyone got any home treatments for pinkeye until I can get an doctor appt? I thought my allergies were acting up yesterday and making my eyes feel weird and leaking like sifts. Took an Alergra and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.
Awww...I've never had pink eye...but I have been dealing with infections in my eyelids recently...not sty's, but still not pleasant. You can use warm or hot compress... I do the hot compress twice a day...and scrub my eyes with soap as per my optometrist's instructions. Not fun, but better than the full blown infections. Here is what I found...

Home treatment for pinkeye will help reduce your pain and keep your eye free of drainage. If you wear contacts, remove them and wear glasses until your symptoms have gone away completely. Thoroughly clean your contacts and storage case.

Cold compresses or warm compresses (whichever feels best) can be used. If an allergy is the problem, a cool compress may feel better. If the pinkeye is caused by an infection, a warm, moist compress may soothe your eye and help reduce redness and swelling. Warm, moist compresses can spread infection from one eye to the other. Use a different compress for each eye, and use a clean compress for each application.

When cleaning your eye, wipe from the inside (next to the nose) toward the outside. Use a clean surface for each wipe so that drainage being cleaned away is not rubbed back across the eye. If tissues or wipes are used, make sure they are put in the trash and not allowed to sit around. If washcloths are used to clean the eye, put them in the laundry right away so that no one else picks them up or uses them. After wiping your eye, wash your hands to prevent the pinkeye from spreading.

I sure hope this helps. and that you feel better soon!

Just learned that our friend Erik (Bogey) has left ECF. View Profile: Bogey - E-Cigarette Forum

I have been in contact with him and learned that it was his choice to privately let ECF Administration know his views on the forum. As a result of that he has been banned.

He would like his friends here to know that he will miss his visits with you on here. To Robert and Lisa, he wants you to know he will continue to promote the REO and provide help wherever he can.

I personally know that Erik has always worked outside of ECF with his blog promoting and assisting REO owners.

I will miss him on here. But know I can still find him!

Ever run your dog on a treadmill? We always thought it would be a really useful exercise tool(assuming you already own a treadmill)for dogs in climes like we have here in NE WA where the winters really limit the places you can walk your dog. We tried to teach Pete, our recently departed Mini Schnauzer, but he just couldn't catch on. Last weekend we decided to try our lab-mix pup Betty on the treadmill and she learned in like one minute. She loves it and is a workout warrior now cranking out 20 minutes at a brisk trot. That's as far as I've pushed her cuz I don't want her to get burned out on the idea--she's more than willing to go for more and that's the way I want to keep it. She's kind of a hyper dog like most young dogs and needs to get exercise every day. I haven't the energy to work in the woods all day, come home and take her for a 3-mile walk. The treadmill is proving to be worth its weight in gold.
Just thought I'd pass this on.:)

Hello all. Just thought I'd pop my head in and say hello. I've been vaping about a month and just yesterday bought a mini from the classies. I'm so excited and have been reading posts all morning. It's time to get out of the house, but I'll pop in again this evening when I can sit a spell.
Welcome, dcav :)
Congratulations! Let us know when you get it. Look forward to chatting with ya when you get back. :)

Hi Roger! That's a fantastic idea! We got rid of our treadmill a long time ago. It was given to us by an extremely overweight friend of ours, but his weight was too much for this machine. It would have been great for a larger dog to use, but our little ones wouldn't get near it with all it's weird noises and stuff.

No problem, Darrel. You said nothing offensive and if you had--I was asking.....hell, begging for it, wasn't I?:)
Cool to hear you've tried the treadmill thing too. I was reading a couple days ago that there are actually doggie gyms in some larger cities now with regular doggie customers that come in to work out on treadmills on a regular basis. Strange but true.
