Geez....this is maddening! I even tried to take shots of it in my car when by all rights, it appeared to be very visible to my eye...but apparently not the lens.

Have you tried taking the picture with the Reo in a black box? The black might help absorb the flash a bit and make the metallic stand out better.

Your problem is that Chalice. Take it off, put it in a box and mail it to me then try your pic again :)

You are mean, Lisa. The paint on that is phenomenal! Maybe I could Rob to polish one for me instead Powder Coat or Anodizing. I may have to go against my better judgement and get a VVG now. I know I want one, I just do not want to have to buy 4+ sets of 18350s and a new xtar charger with 4 Spacers.

 Hahaha....I know. It's next to impossible to get a picture of it...how I see it. :(

You can get the small Xtar...it fits just the small batteries. No spacers required. Xtar MP2

A North facing window will usually give a nice, even illumination with no 'hot spots.' If your camera has it, try indoor or party setting. Heck, even try the nighttime setting and set the camera on something stable. Flash will ruin it for sure, but even with all that, it might not do justice to metalflake. Just my :2c:. Oh and the race is run. Batteries came today, but still hadn't got an email on the charger. Called them and they said "There was a glitch, we'll send it now"
