Wish. Son got married and closed down a storage unit so we had to find a place for the stuff.

Then we found out we needed work on the garage roof. The house is newer the garage is old as sin. We had trusses put in so we can store stuff up there. Just getting to getting the ceiling pull down stairs in and the plywood and then its get a bunch of stuff up there and all before winter hits!!

it's gonna drive me crazy!!! 8-o

Oh goodness...that's a lot of work. Are the trusses tall enough to walk upright in there or are you hunched over? Congratulations to your son though!

Dead center, we can walk.:)

It's going to let us get stuff out of the garage and the house too so it's worth it.

Especially the garage. DH has turned into a pack rat! Well you know he might just need it someday!

My husband is the same way  We're getting ready to relocate and I'm worried about all the stuff we have. Need to start thinning things out for sure.

Mind if I intrude?

And just trying to get the gist here.....

West the last time that I flew, I had to do the full body scan.

We always opt for the full body x-ray. It goes faster especially it you don't have extra minutes till boarding time. I don't need to protect my eggs and DH isn't worried about protecting his spermies. He does it twice weekly; I not so often. Many times the extra search is totally random. DH has no metal surgically implanted (unless he's been abducted by aliens and implanted without his knowledge. :D) but it's always the very same spot. I have no metal anywhere near where they do additional searches and neither of use wear any clothing/accessories that contain metal. We don't take any medications that contain excessive metals.

BTW... neither of us have any issues with TSA security unless the "agents" are obnoxious and bullies. But any protest is futile and can really slow down one's travel.

BTW.... several years ago I had new carry on luggage, three pieces, that I have received in mail a day before departing; LLBean. They chemical swabbed all pieces. As I was going out of country I had several pre-loaded injectable allery kits, several vials of injectable benadryl, and a multi-pack of small syringes. They didn't even look at those; never did; never have.

For ones own peace of mind and tranquility, keep in mind that they are "just doing their jobs," we want them to do their jobs, they are middle class, economic struggling people just like us. We need to "love" TSA agents and treat them with respect either for our own personal benefits or because we appreciate their need to provide for their families, no matter if they abuse their power, which they sometimes do. Be nice to the point of puking, shut-up, follow directions without questions, and all will mostly be well. Don't question authority!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Oh moving would be a nightmare!!

It ain't going to happen until I'm really old and senile.........then the kids will have to move me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After DH's father died, here at our house, and then his mother, here at our house, I had the full responsibility to clear out the family homestead of over 100 years. They had not lived in the house for several years. I hired some people who organized and sorted and sold what I did not want. It was so totally worth it for me. DH was an only child. I've instructed my DD to do the same. Proceeds from sales provided much more than their fees.
