There's not a night of the year that you don't sleep without at least on comforter on the bed up here. Last night it was 39 degrees when I let Dawg out before we went to bed. Even on the very hottest days it rarely gets above 80 - 82 degrees.

It's a bit disconcerting to know that you live just outside the gates of Heaven but that you'll probably never have the opportunity to get through 'em.

Huh, maybe if I learn some prayers and apply for the priesthood that will help... I'm already getting pretty good at the celibacy requirement.

Jack

Then I could be a none! Oops...nun....

How can all you people be so cheerful so early in the morning...

WHAT ARE YOU UP TO?

Jack
It's ingrained behavior from when we still had kids living with us, I think. Early mornings and late nights are the only time a family man can have peace and quiet and me-time. Of course, late at night also includes missus-time, so mornings are really all there is if you dig on solitude.

Scott, I'm having trouble finding Kanthal A-1 36 wire... got any secret suppliers? Type quietly so no one else hears.

Jack
I find ebay to be a veritable fountain of obscenely cheap rebuilding supplies. Check it out, yo.

Everything I found on E-Bay was 'D' rated.

I use 3 to 4 ohm atties, not a real fan of LR unless I have to use one of my e-Go's... can't really get that resistance with 32.

Jack

I just tried some 36ga and with 3 wraps I got 2.5 ohms so with more wraps you should be able to get the higher resistance. That is my goal also but this was the first coil I made with the 36ga so I came up short. I'll try again with a longer piece of wire.
