Good afternoon Reoville!

Just heard from Gil!

He is still in the rehab place. Seeing his surgeon tomorrow. If he can get the approval he needs he will be going home. He has lots of help available and will be all set up to rehab safe in his own surroundings! Everything will be done so he can just rest and get better.

He misses everyone! And thanks you all for your kind words.

Lisa, he said to tell you he is not in need of vaping stuff right now! In fact he has not been vaping. But is not planning on it staying that way!

Please tell Gil he's very much in my bestest, warmest thoughts. I've lit a battery operated candle for him to beam loads of love, get well, and low pain. (Electronic as I'm in and out so much.... it should beam just as well.)

Hugs and love, Feisty Alice

Ya...I am not a fan of summer time prime time. :( But that's all about to end. This weekend I'm taking the fans down and putting the blanket back on the bed. we had a light frost on the grass this morning. ;)

We have two "cold" fronts coming through with rain but first one the rain didn't fall on us. We just got down to 80 in past few minutes. Low 80s thru Sunday; 60's night. Last year, on this day, we had another record high 107.

I finished the stick down edges emergency tarp on part of deck over garage at 0400. Anxious to see if it will work. Rain, rain come my way.

The deck/roof was built wrong in the first place. First time I had it torn up we discovered they had originally done the drop off edge so that water poured down into the wall!!! "They" have never been able to get the pitch so that water freely runs off. I rebuilt part of the interior wall but on one end there are still some rotted studs. Over the years I've had deck/roof completely rebuilt twice and every couple of years I have to do major leak patching. After I put the new doors in it took me a couple of years to stop the leaking coming in under the doors. So far that's holding. When we bought the house previous owners said they had thought about enclosing the deck. I didn't know then why but certainly do now.

I have a liquid "rubbey" compound to apply to whole surface but haven't gotten around to doing it. It doesn't require heat setting so I'm not sure if it is really going to work.

Previous patching.

"Disaster" Tarp. Sticky edges, UV treated, supposed to stick on composite. We'll see....... Not finished pressing down sticky edges yet in picture.

Got my Reo Grand VV pumpin' today! I love it almost as much as the VVW.

On a non-VV Grand issue - I didn't know that Rob started making all of the newer grands with this slightly curved back. It makes it so much better in the hand. Strange how just a few mm of metal will do that. SO will the new grand bodies still take the old grand doors?

Dish took away my AMC!!! Walking dead, Breaking Bad! Might be time to switch to Direct TV or cable!

You can do both but you have to watch out for the "creep up" with Direct. We have both but the Direct jumped from <$40/mo to $100 in past few months. I'm pretty sure it was the "free" NFL package that ran out. Need to get on that. Probably will drop it completely now that we can more easily find football games streaming online or online replay.) We don't have cable out here. (DH hates the Direct format and remote and won't use it.)

LOl. Directv keeps playing lotsa commercials about that very thing!

Dish is not too smart!

Those Direct TV commercials are even playing on Dish!!! I'm finding a lot of things on iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon. With Amazon Prime some are free for streaming. I just finished second season of Fringe; all free. On last season of Psych but those are $1.99 per episode on Amazon.

When I was at the gun shop yesterday I was trying to remember where I saw a character catching an ejected casing from an semi-automatic handgun before it hit the ground. It is Head Detective Carlton Lassiter on Psych. I need to get a clip on my phone to show the guys. It is the final scene in "Lassie Did a Bad Bad Thing." It's sometimes used in the opening credits.

Catherine Heigl -- the woman who introduced me to vaping
I've never written a fan letter, but I may make an exception to let her know that her bold move to use an ecig on the David Letterman show helped me quit smoking and goodness knows how many others that saw her vape on TV that night! :D

Happy Thursday everyone

I so remember that!! A lot of us were going whoopee over that one because it was on national television!!

And afternoon all! :)

Hey everybody!

Just getting in now and catch up was easy today. Maybe because I left late? Terry had a Dentist appointment today, so I got a half day off :) She got a few teeth from each side of her mouth pulled, and she is a bit sore. Obviously can not chew well right now either. So, I am looking to you guys here for some recipes/food items that would go over well in a soft or almost liquid form as she turned her nose up at cans of cat food for some odd reason.

Forgot...we ended up using a juicer and a blender...to break down veggies and fruit so they were edible. Made some fantastic smoothies after breaking down apples, peaches... and carrots and then mixing with some vanilla yogurt that we had around. You can do all kinds of stuff with that.

Ha, I was just talking about this on another forum today - I got thru my wisdom teeth extraction's recovery on mashed potatoes with Cheez Whiz mixed in it. I still have it every once and a while for nostalgia's sake.

And Jello!
