Good morning everyone. I am going to be scarcer than normal around here for the next couple of weeks. I will be running the Grandma Taxi service starting tomorrow.

My DD woke me this morning to tell me her DMIL is in rehab and they don't know for how long. She got a cold that went into her ear making her dizzy. By Sunday, her husband had to call 911 because she couldn't walk. Now this sounds weird - The hospital treated her for the ear infection but because she is stable now the hospital sent her to rehab until she can walk. Both her and her husband are in their mid-70s so he can't take care of her either as his health is not so good. She has always been the taxi driver and babysitter for the boys because they live in the same town. I will need to pick up the youngest from school, get him home, let their poor dog out of his crate, make a snack for Bry and get him started on his homework. Then wait for the oldest to get home from school and make him a snack and then get both boys to their football practices. Dad gets home from work about 5:30 then I'm off duty but then I will have to face commute traffic to get home. I'm only 20 miles from them but with the traffic here it can take me anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hour to get there and to get home.

Well I've come to the conclusion that there is no way that I'm going to make it all winter without getting into a pool so I'm looking into going to a Wellness Center near here.

Jan, check out the motels in your area, some of them offer " hourly use" without renting a room.

And it's so good of you to help!

Thanks jj. I need to talk my landlord about letting Ben the Dog out for a couple of hours while I'm gone each day. I can't take him with me because their dog and him don't get along so good. Ben's not gonna be too happy about getting his dinner late. He thinks his dinner should be at 4pm each day but he can wait.

Well maybe he will enjoy the outdoors so much that he won't notice.

And by the time this is all over and you get back on schedule, Ben will be use to the new one.
