I have owned my own in the past. Now I just let somebody else pay the bills lol

..........:)..........

Ya...I hear that. My dad drove in the 70's and 80's...and it was very costly. He was very good about not dead heading though, even if it meant he had to stick around waiting for a load for a few days. That came to an abrupt end though when I was about 9 or 10. I remember wanting to be a truck driver too. Ah, but life happens, I had a child so that wasn't going to happen. He taught me how to drive his Kenworth...and since then, I've driven a few when I worked for a glass shop. The shop guys weren't comfortable moving the trucks in & out of the shop and around the parking lot. Not the same thing as "driving" but I got my fix in short bursts.

Hubby drove over the road and short haul. He preferred the latter so he could be home every night.

And afternoon. :)

Hi Jan :) Ya, my Dad was on the road and stuck in TX when my grampa passed away. He took it really hard and did the math on how much he was away from home. He left his truck in TX and came home, never to drive again. He hired a guy to drive in his stead and that lasted a couple years until the dude wrecked my dad's truck.

Hi Scott :)

Hi everyone

I am one happy woman right now! My new vv G just came...i'm vaping on it...and Rob called me about the woodvil and my other vvg that I'd mailed back to him for some TLC last Fri.

I collapsed the spring on the wood, which was obvious even to me:facepalm: and he said there was nothing wrong with the vv g!

He said my atties were the wrong kind..they're all 1.7's..that i needed a higher no. ( I don't have that lingo down yet) When i got the vv G today ( brilliant blue, by the way), there was five 2.0's in the pkg. that I'd ordered from him( I thought I was doing good ordering higher no. atties :)facepalm:)....but he said I'd be better off with even higher nos., like 2.5-2.7. He got to TRYING to explain all that ohm.s and resistance and stuff ,that seems like Greek to me,and then it finally clicked in that my atties weren't the right kind for the vv and it kept shutting down to protect itself from me!There wasn't a dingdong thing wrong with it ( but there's certainly something wrong with me, in the brain dept.)

He' mailing them back to me today with only the cost of the shipping, bless him, and then I'll be back up to three Reos YAH!!
