Good evening fine REO Folk. We just got in a bit ago. DH's afternoon flight wasn't cancelled. Hoo Ray!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though his car battery was dead and I had to jump I still got there in time so he didn't have to wait. Plus for DH's mood. (He's been up since 0500 working.) When we got home and turned on TV we were greeted by KERA (PBS) 2000 Albert Hall concert by Moody Blues!!!!!!!!!!!! Have the big TV tuner switched over to music and cranked up. Getting stoned without assistance of anything............ Well........... we did make a stop, first time in a couple of months, at......................... The Oasis!!!!!!!!! I'm a much more major lover of Moody Blues than DH but he just noticed for first time that two of their guitars are four stringed. DH's flamenco teacher and friend, Eddie Freeman, was responsible for bringing the four string guitar to public attention many years ago. DH is forming new appreciation for Moody Blues!!!!

Jack and I are meeting for brunch in Fort Worth tomorrow, Sunday. He's paying special attention to his make-up because I will be taking pictures. We're meeting at Joe T Garcia's, an old TX establishment, that has fabulous patio dining. Weather should be mid 70's; perfect!! Of course I won't have any makeup on.

Super YEAH Scott!!!! DH would have difficulties enjoying life without his favored TV stations.

Lisa, can relate to your aversion to crowds but I do okay with them even though I'm a major hermit and avoid them like the plague. (When DH wasn't traveling to work and doing all the shopping I would sometimes go a month or more without leaving the farm.) Small doses of Paxil, Xantac, etc., help one to cope. Around these parts one can count on anyone packing so it's best to learn and practice tolerance. I just approach all "folks" as potential hotheads and for sure reactive, dangerous, non-thinking, non caring dimwit, bigot, .......s. It's always a pleasant surprise to be proven wrong about persons.

I will take photos tomorrow and photoshop if Jack hasn't made himself presentable enough.

Love and hugs, Feisty Alice

(Jen, we did have $6.95 oysters. So windy and both of us really hungry so didn't take pictures. Although they were pretty small, Texas Gulf oysters, they had fabulous flavor and texture. The Oasis has the most consistent oysters of any place we get them.) New mounted game fish..... (Owner of restaurant is game fisherman.) Really big Hammerhead shark hanging from ceiling over diners.) Lots of Harley Bikers there, more than usual. Restaurant has huge windows that open like garage doors and you can smoke and vape inside near windows. Next time we'll do that as it got a bit chilly with 30 mph wind on deck.)

i knew you had some fun tonight Alice

Alice your DH uses make-up!!

I can not even imagine DH doing that!!!!!

Oh gosh no!!! It's our Jack that I told to wear makeup for pictures tomorrow. Although, when we were at Pharmacy, the other day, waiting for DH to get his Flu shot, and chatting with Pharmacist, DH did say to Pharmisist that if his manhood wasn't firmly established by now..... we were discussing wearing pink and other things.... they enjoyed when I mentioned "manly salmon."

Hugs, Feisty Alice

 I had no doubt that I was alone in my....uh...feeling. I'm usually pretty successful in "tuning" folks out when I go shopping. I've become much more independent and confident over the years and so it's hardly an issue these days. I did a stint years ago with the prescriptions they wanted me on....I gave them a fair shot. But at the time I was a single mom and could not take the risk of a) losing my job or b) failing to take care of my infant daughter. So I decided not to continue the coctail and just decided to take things head on one step at a time. there were some tough days, but I did a much better job of managing my own care. It's nice knowing I'm not a freakshow though.

Just got back from getting a haircut. While chit chatting with my barber about various stuff, the guy waiting his turn decided to interject his opinions as they disagreed with mine.

I had to tell him, "Sorry, I'm not going to hate any people because of what they choose to do in private as consenting adults, nor am I going to support my government in trying to limit their choices. And no, that acceptance won't turn into acceptance of immoral behavior that victimizes children. If our society and culture gets to that point, it will be without my participation." [paraphrased - I'm not that eloquent in my spoken dialogue, but that's the jist of what I expressed.]

We both agreed that those kinds of issues being brought up by politicians were usually just attempts to pander to their constituients in an effort to attain power and control over the masses. He said we have far too many politicians and too few statesmen. With that, I agreed whole heartedly.

Now, off to buy a new rake and some leaf bags. I'll avoid expressing any opinions beyond the weather and my fabulous new haircut.

See y'all later!

I now go to a "quick drop in" CHEAP hair place. First time I had particular person I got short but very feathered for my "trying to curl" hair and really loved it. Last time, a couple weeks ago, it wasn't short enough so had her do more. It was way "butch." We'll discuss it more next time. At least she will cut it semi-dry as most others won't. Jack, it's grown out a bit so it won't be too awfully "butch" when I see you tomorrow. It's a fine line getting it cut short enough but not having to put up with DH calling me a Marine for a week. BTW... if I was a guy, and didn't have absolutely perfect hair I would cut mine like Tripp's. After having long, unruly, but beautiful hair, most of my life, and thinking that I needed my long, golden locks to feel feminine, I certainly do love almost no hair. Not too long ago I played with DH's clippers and attachments and ended up with max 1" most and lots no more than 1/2" and some <1.4". I got lots of flack from people because most want semi-curly, baby fine, light blonde hair. They don't have to deal with it though!!! I can't stand when the fly away wisps tickle my face.

Love your "cut" Tripp.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

Hi Scott :) So far so good, I guess....not doing anything. It's 2:20 and I just realized I haven't eaten yet. I feel soooo lazy.

Everyone can do with "feeling lazy" for periods. Keeps one healthy as long as one makes it OK!!!

Hey, Darrel:)
Feels good to put up firewood in the fall, doesn't it?
Most of the year it feels like work, but in the fall.....I dunno--I think some kind of seasonal mental stimulus kicks in and, like with the squirrels cutting pine cones this time of year, I get an extra burst of energy and it just seems like the thing to do.

My main issue with firewood stacks is venomous snakes denning under and in them for winter. Always have to be very observant. DH was ...... that I kept so much from trees cut down in yard this spring. First major gripe was, " Dangerous for dogs."

I try....

Hi Bush :)

Chores come with every season and the only one that I look forward to is opening the pool!

Mine is drained right now. Waiting for leaves to finish falling before refilling; late Dec. Being in woods has lots of positives but leaves are MAJOR issue. Biggest issue is can't let dogs out in back yard. BAD MOMMA!!!!

Hey everyone. I ordered my 1st REO tonight. I'm pretty excited to receive it. :)
I ordered 1 smoktech 2.0 ohm atomizer and 1 smoktech 1.5 ohm atomizer with it.
This is gonna be a blast. I've been wanting a REO for a very long time.
If I'm right, and I think I am... I think I'm going to like it more than any of my other mods.
The bottom fed design sounds fantastic. Being able to just squeeze the bottle?
Having that freshly soaked atomizer without having to do the whole bottle drip ritual?
Thanks for talking them up so much everyone lol. I cannot WAIT to get mine now.

Lisa, just in case you don't know, it's the season to be jolly and ALL the people are shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except me. :)

On way out of restaurant tonight I stopped and visited with several"favorite" servers I haven't seen in a couple of months. We were discussing Christmas Shopping, cards, etc. I commented about how so easy it is now that kids and grandkids are all Jewish!!!

Ya...I'm pretty sure you're going to love it, especially if you're tired of dripping. I've never even considered going back. Totally satisfied here! Keep us posted when you get it! :D

I just built three wicks/coils tried them out and Woo hoo! I'm a happy camper!

( Now to see how long they last:) )

I think what helped was centering the coil over the juice hole ( on the A 7's) i have just a short one on the ERA off to the side, but when i change it I'm gonna leave a longer tail for the juice.

i know one thing for sure, regular atties are awful tasting now, lol.

Before I left today I started boiling some Walmart "Peaches and Creme" natural cotton yarn. Cut stove off and started back when got home. Was hoping to have some done for tomorrow but "good eats and 'inbib'n" have reduced my desire to do anything but "veg out." Will report later on findings. I'll probably show up at brunch with Jack sporting Resurector cartos.;) I am taking a couple of Mini Woodvil 2.0 to show Jack how REOmizer will fit one CC but not another.
