Andy, Andy, Andy, I almost forgot. If you've read all of Child's, Jack Reacher series pick up a copy of David Baldacci's, Zero Day. Rip off the cover and you'll think you're reading Child... the main character, John Puller is almost an exact clone, even the back story.

I'd expect a two-bit hack like me to rip off someone else's character but I figured Baldacci was above that. Apparently not.

The book is worth reading but there's too much excessive coincidence... lazy writing.

There's another one of the series out there, or coming out called The Forgotten. I'll probably pick it up.

reacher is my 3rd favorite character after john sandfords virgil flowers and lucas davenport
and yes i've read all of the above. i'll have to check it out. i read a short series about a guy named atticus kodiak that was good years ago i need to revisit and see if he's still around. forget the author

I prefer the Davenport character, (I'd like to date his wife), over Flowers but Sanford comes out with a new book I snatch 'em both up equally as fast.

Vince Flynn is fun but sometime Mitch Rapp becomes a little unbelievable... Reacher is starting to get that way. I enjoy a 'suffering hero' more... it reminds me of my love life... always getting beat up but still looking for more.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Fine REO Folk. Wishing all holiday goodness and cheer.

IT'S SNOWING HERE!!!! Probably hitting East Texas later. It started thunderstorms during night and hasn't let up till snow started a few minutes ago. Predicted 1-2 inches. Last time snow started like this, same prediction, we got record 16" in Feb. , heaviest, wet snow I had ever experienced. (It snowed hours before it started sticking so it might have been 2 ft or more if it had been colder. That's major FREAK storm here.) Took half a year for DFW metroplex to clean up all the damaged trees.

Hope all are having good day. Hold your loved ones close in heart and mind.

people in areas with lots of snow dont realize that in flat country with no wind block 10 inchs of snow can blow up drifts 3 or 4 feet deep
it should be a fun ride

When we had the record 16" we had some drifts almost over the car. We couldn't even move cars for a couple of days until neighbor came over and helped dig us out. Then we couldn't get out drive for another day. Thst's MAJOR FREAK around these parts. Snow coming down now is blowing sideways.

I pretty much got use to people trying to kill me, and now that I'm old and useless it's the only excitement I get. I'm also accustom to all my dates ending early... that's why God invented fantasies.

Oh, gave my son-in-law a Glock 30 for Christmas. I don't like plastic guns so I figured I'd let him carry the kid's toy.

Thanks lovie. Thats horrible. Haven't been out. We may have hard time getting DH to airport tomorrow due to ice, winds, and wrecks. Guess it's time to check local news. More than once we've been blocked in by neighbor's fallen trees across our drive. Both neighbors out of town. Ru Ro!

while i love my 1911s, STI, kimber , les baer and now ruger. the glock .40 cals are a great carry gun and i've been using them since the beginning with NO problems. they are a much better gun for a noob than a trojan

The tornadoes are east of us. I worked till 0700. Slept till noon. Time to get goose started. Hoping we keep electric. One Christmas whole neighborhood lost electric middle of day when most people had turkeys roasting. Lots of grills put into service. Crossing all crossables it stays on.

Well the big moment of this Xmas was that I found out that I'm going to be a grandma in July.
